RUMOR: PS3 release/PC fees restored on August the 14th?

I can see the ps3 launching around august or September, or maybe a beta test in august and release in September similar to how it was last year for the pc version. But don`t be surprised if there is no beta since unlike with the pc where everyone has different hardware, drivers, OS and so on, the PS3 is the same for everyone. We already know the PC and PS3 will use the same servers so long as the game itself is polished and they create a polished ps3 version that runs fine on their ps3, it will work on all ps3 and there really wouldn't be a need for a ps3 beta.

Wanna know something crazy? Most wireless routers now come with Blizzards Ports already forwarded.

Nope you have to go to your Firewall and allow it to be forward but it set up there for your use tho my routers have blizzard ports i just have to put it on which computer i want to use it. So at the end you still have to do it by going to your Routers firewall even setting it up take no more then 5mins i should know i have my own 512Slot TS3 and 8slot Vent host on one of my computer if ppl don't want to do it then ok deal with the slow download to SE fix it then ;;

You seem to forget mmo are on going and can release more content after ps3 launch. By everyones standers in this thread. the game needs 8 years wth of content before it is pay worthy. At least thats what it read to me.

MMO are never finish always ongoing projects. They only delayed ps3 for 2 reason ram, and to "fix" the pc version not add to it. Personally I feel there is enough content (after the introduction of dungeons) to launch the ps3 version. Then they can add more content a mnth after. And an expac by next year. It isn;t SE fault you burn through comtent.

Ps you must have forgoten they doing a welcome back event. And do plan on adding the missing genders. by ps3 .

Nothing has changed since release and people hated the game at release. If they release the PS3 version and SE is met with the exact same response, then this game is over. PS3 is the game's only hope.

But they need to beat Blade&Soul to market so I guess we will be seeing another rushed release LOL.

This whole idea of... I need to beat X mmo to the market is sorta stupid.

Unless the games are direct clones of each other, the timing of the release means nothing... And I feel safe to say the people who will play ffxiv will stay with this game, those who want a game like B&S or Tera will go to those games.... no matter when SE releases the PS3 version.

B&S = Action MMO, FFXIV = MMORPG completely different styles of game play and focus.
That and I do not see B&S going anywhere in the west, it will be another Korean only smash hit like every other NCSoft game.

That and if you look at the release dates of most SE games, including FFXIV they pretty much allign to the end of fiscal quarters for thier company... FFXIV was released right at the end of the 2nd quarter last year, which allowed SE to recognize the profits for that quarter.

If they release this game with just the fix core and few dumb dungeon i feel sorry for FFXIV PS3 is there last hope for ffxiv.

but guess what, those games didnt mean anything, any future MMos wont mean anything to this one either

the game will go on ps3 when it is ready, theres no point in "trying to beat" other mmos to the punch

the people who are going to try those other MMOs are gonna do it regardless of release dates

jusdt because you think some content is dumb don't mean it is universally dumb. I didn;t like ffxi endgame. Yet I enjoyed ffxi fo 8 years. You do not need to release the ps3 with uber content that will get burnt through. Content will alwaus going to be adeed after all these fixes happen. Thois game is ongoing will always be fixed, tweak, content being added. the furst year of any mmo is always the hardest, just like in life with new companies and products. As for server pop I blame more the community then the game. PPl kept chasing ppl away or thwy read too much into cynic cry babies. I'm having fun as is. I'm not rushing and doing everyquest right now, i'm not rushing my leveling. I just wish people talked more in game. The community feels like a dead WoW server. No one talking. So far only the japanese talk in game. And i can't read japanese to join them.

TERA is releasing in Japan shortly. I dont think they would bother releasing it if there was no market there. JP people seem pretty open to playing the game.

Im not saying that this means FFXIV will lose subscribers, Im just saying that making a blanket generalisation of all japanese people while casting aspersions on their MMO preferences is kind of presumptuous.
