    Difficult raiding content is expensive to make and serves small proportions of MMO communities. The cost of making games has ballooned compared to earlier giants of the industry that boasted impressive, challenging raiding. Hardcore raiders were the obvious first niche for the chopping block to cut costs while also broadening the appeal so that the games can return a profit to investors. This is industry-wide, not just here.

    The sad truth is that the only reason any hardcore raiders came to this game in the first place is the absence of games that cater to that audience.

    Also please note that blizzard has also adopted a similiar model example, 5.0, 5.2, 5.4 - Raid content whilst 5.1 and 5.3 were simply casual content patches.
    Blizzard give you at least an average of 10 Bosses per Raid-Tier (if not even more), huge raid instances and 2 difficulty settings to progress in. (not counting lfr)

    What do we have here? 4 Bosses for how much longer?
    Nowadays this is not acceptable.

    maxed out every job and maxed out all gear for all of those jobs including craft and gather classes?
    crafting, gathering and lvling alts aint no content

    which offers gear good enough to bring another job into coil

    This was the Bioware/EA response when SW:TOR was released with absolutely no endgame content to speak of. FF isn't quite at that point, but all the same, I'm not sure I'd borrow strategies from the playbook of the biggest flop in gaming history.

    Well, unlike you, a majority of the player base does want vanity items. Also, when patch 2.2 rolls out vanity slots, you will not have to unequip your higher level gear - you will be able to apply the skin of a different piece of armor to your higher level gear, granting both the graphic of the vanity gear and the stats of your high lvl gear.

    A bit of a contradiction here: you say you want to progress and make your character stronger, yet you refuse to level up another class because fate grinding is boring. You'll be happy to know that dungeon exp will greatly surpass FATEs in 2.1 so, please look forward to levelling in dungeons - the way it was intended.

    You don't seem to understand that the majority of the playerbase has not yet entered coil. I am willing to wager that less than 10% of the population has entered coil much less farms it on a weekly basis. Once you step out of that ivory towers of your FC's you might understand that this content is intended for the other 90% of the people, some whom do not yet even posses a relic weapon much less darklight gear. there are players out there who are just now hitting level 50 on their first class whom will thoroughly benefit from this content.

    TLDR: You can please some of the people all of the time or all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all the time.

    Fair enough though may I ask which content took longer to complete? Even with all that content you mentioned the end game boss was killed within, what a day and with Heroic being killed within a week. Granted there were bugs, but Coil did last longer.

    It's simply a matter of quality over quantity at this point and if you do not feel that this game has the quality content you're looking for. I'm sure you will find what you're looking for in a game one day.
