PS3 Freezing issue still happening but no response from anyone as usual

Not to be combative, but how would they fix it? Let's say my PS3 works just fine while yours has issues. Since software is software and carries with it checksum indexes, we can rule out that the actual software is not an issue. What's that leave us?

We know the PS3 has KNOWN issues with overheating and desoldering the GPU from the board. The mileage may vary, but with the implementation of MD5/checksum indexes, we can rule out software as being the issue. What's left? The hardware. Your copy of FFXIV is exactly the same as my own. Only one variable remains. When it comes down to electronics having issues, the lowest common denominator wins.

Why do you assume the issue has to do with over heating? I've only seen one game lock up on my 7+ year old PS3. "The Cave" occasionally locks up. It doesn't appear to be do to overheating. I can only assume these lockups are the result of an IO issue. Such as an error when paging in data from the HDD. I can only guess, of course. I suspect that should the PS3 overheat, the system would simply shut itself off to prevent irreparable damage from occurring.

If I were experiencing periodic lockups with the game, I'd delete the game and reinstall it and see if that remedies the problem.

Never had this issue. I have had it on xbox but thats when I was in besieged in the al zabi zone, personally I think your console is the problem asked my friends none have had this issue either good luck, or just upgrade for free to PS4 when it allows.

Also its mot SE's fault they promised XIV would come to yhe PS3 it happened they kept there promise they said you can upgrade to PS4 for free so You cant say it was all about the money in a previous post bro.

See it is about the money because I'm paying for the sub fee on a ps3 bro. Yup cool I won't have to rebuy the game for ps4 but I'll still be paying almost 100 bux or more by the time ps4 version is ready on an inferior system that cannot handle the game. All about the benjamins baby.

Super late edit- unsubbing for a while will check up on forums to see where things are headed.
