I've never ever seen in the history of MMO's a game go backwards like this. Clearly there is a LOT of upset people at these asinine choices SE has made since launch. Its okay though, let people defend these bad choices...when the servers are empty and subs drop drastically it will speak for itself lol.

Yes. The servers are going to empty and subscriptions are going to drop dramatically because this game does not yet have have an alliance system. The decisions they made don't correlate with your personal judgement, therefore the servers will break open like a cut coinpurse. /sarcasm

Honestly, I hope subscriptions drop and progression raiders leave. It's the same as cutting out a bad tumor.

How do you think it is a good idea to announce 24 man content years ago, then casually announce a month before release that you won't even be able to do it with your own FC yet (apart from 1 guranteed full party, unless 3 parties register at the same time and are lucky)???

They've been quitting left and right, other ones who still have hope have transferred to my server to play with me because they are saying theirs are so empty. ...Well, technically they're both dropping and increasing. People buy the game and stay if they like it, or quit if it doesn't suit their tastes so they can play a game that does. And there are many people who are willing to stay with this game and enjoy the game's current direction - more than enough to keep it afloat for the many years to come. Here's the problem with a vocal minority - they're the loudest, so they think they're the biggest.

His exact point is that undergeared, underprepared, incompetent, or otherwise bad groups CAN and WILL and MUST "rain on the parades" of parties that are prepared, competent, and pre-formed.

What will stop random players or entire parties from trolling the entire alliance? From going AFK? From pulling and MPKing the party? From stalling progress? Nothing. That is why we need restrictions on who we can clear CT with, and ideally, allow full alliances to form before entry.

If our goal is to allow for casual players to clear encounters and have a good time, it absolutely should not be at the expense of players who expect the bare minimum (or, god forbid, higher) standards among their alliance members.

Given that Duty Finder server groups are spread among worlds and we have no cross-server social capabilities, this current situation will serve to force better players to carry non-dedicated players through a dungeon. It's inexcusable and needs to be addressed.

IMO, CT isn't positioned to be a HC dungeon, at this moment CT is an end-game content designed to be accessible and provide gears that prepares you for BCoB, it certainly isn't designed with HC raiders in mind, thus the decision to have it work with DF; as it currently stands, players who does not belong to a progression FC, regardless of how geared or skilled they might be, are excluded from end-game content that uses pre-made groups (BCoB) and CT seeks to address that very pain point, to allow content be more accessible and at the same time providing challenge for HC raiders (dealing with unpredictable player rotations does serve to add a degree of difficulty to the fight)

As shown in this thread, those with the ability to form a pre-made 24 man team are only thinking about themselves and could really care less about the community as a whole, propagating the very toxicity and elitism that creates a barrier to entry which ultimately is the cause of failure for a large number of MMOs.

Yet there's more people playing this than 1.0. I remember everyone jumping of the shit ship that was 1.0 to the point they stopped showing how many people were on the server and stopped giving out server statistics.

Without actual statistics, you could say anything and make unfounded correlations and conclusions, the fact that your friends are quitting does not in any way correlate to subs dropping as you have no statistics on how many joined vs how many left.

Quitters will always find reasons to quit and even if CT is a pre-made 24 man dungeon, it will only be a month before the same group of players complains about some aspect of the game e.g CT is "too easy" and FFXIV needs new content" you can never satisfy them... Its just like in reality, I'd simply fire any of my employee that reacts negatively while having a sense of self-entitlement and self importance to everything that comes their way, we call them, the cancers and cancers are best eliminated ASAP.

I love SE and Final Fantasy so my opinion is instantly right. Face it haters, there's no stopping the sub train now, all other upcoming MMOs better watch out.
