    Gaming gear mouse recommendation

Thinking of putting a gaming mouse on x-mas list.

I find im a couple buttons short, maybe a mouse would be better over a keyboard.

My dilema is this, I need wireless ( insert game wired debate here ), I play in an IKEA poang chair in front of my TV, having cables is feasible but highly messy (killed my former logitech mouse because the wire tangles kept slamming it on the tile floor).

Some products like the naga epic is all nice and dandy, but so freaking expensive in comparison to their wired counterpart ?

Screw a wireless gaming mouse. I shudder at the thought of the batteries dying during a titan fight.

I use a razer death adder. Not too many buttons, but that's just fine with me.

Only two real options for gaming mice:
    -Logitech G9x
    -Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer

I had a razer death adder and I loved it even though it only has 2 buttons. However, after less than a year the left mouse button died. Annoyed I decided to go back to logitech and got a g600 12 button mouse, http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/pro...o-gaming-mouse.

It took me a week to get used to it, but I absolutely love this mouse now. It comes with a good app you can use to set how the buttons work. So I programmed the g600 so that 1-12 is "Shift + Alt + 1 -12" then I made a hotbar in FFXIV that's mound from (Shift + alt) + 1-12 so I can have abilities bound to just the mouse.

Optionally you can bind the mouse to share a hotbar with some other combination. E.g. you could do 1-12 and still use your 1-12 hotbar, then pressing 1 on the keyboard or 1 on the mouse would do the same thing. This method is actually kind of handy because sometimes it's easier to use the mouse and sometimes it's easier to use the keyboard based on where your hands are at the moment of need.

aside from the battery dying, anything worth of note of why I should NOT get a wireless one ? The G602 logitech looks pretty good, same price as the naga, a few less buttons.

It is a wired mouse, but I have been loving my Corsair Vengeance M90 (they're up to the M95 now, but it's pretty much the same). It has a decent shape, and the buttons are placed intuitively, and are easy to differentiate when things start moving at a quicker pace. It comes with an app, like all of them, and you can bind multiple profiles to it which are displayed on the mouse by a series of LEDs facing the user just in front of your thumb at the head of the mouse. It's worth checking out.
Edit: It has exactly enough extra buttons to do an entire hotbar.

so for 80 bucks i can get the razer naga, the logitech g600 (g function, technically more buttons than the razer) or the wireless G602 (less buttons but wireless)
I don't like the design or the corsair frankly.

and more 50 more bucks, you get best of both worlds with the razer naga epic.

Still a hefty price for a darn mouse. Did it improve your gaming life a lot ? I mean I used to play WoW no problem with this and find enough room for it all. How did it help you ?
