Crafting same ilvl items than me HQ?

I'm a lvl 35 WVR (I think) and I crafted a HQ linen set for my WHM.

As a WVR, my most important skills, whether 40 or 80 durability, are Inner Quiet+Rumination, Steady Hands, Tricks of the Trade, and Manipulation. I never use a touch or synth that is below 90% because it seems to fail more often than succeeds (which may or may not be true). Tricks is useful for when a Good status comes up at awkward times, and IMO Manipulation is better than Waste Not because if you use a touch/synth while Manipulation is up, it costs no durability, and if you use any other skills while it's up, it increases your durability (not a single wasted step).

Inner Quiet is the most important, if you ask me. You should try to use about 4 or five Basic Touch skills while you have Inner Quiet before you start with the Great Strides+Standard Touch. Then Rumination will give you at least 50 CP back at the end. Steady Hands should always be up in case you get an excellent condition.

Hasty Touch is only semi-useful if you have no CP left but extra durability, and you'll find multiple threads about people relying on it and getting burned too much.

TL;DR: My crafting strategy is to go after skills that ensure 90-100% success rates, with no wasted procs or steps inbetween.

It's not that easy to make HQ linen gear, for a lv42 WVR...
I think I might HQ 1 out of 9 of them.
I leveled up from lv20 to lv40 just making Cotton Doublet Vest of Gathering for "Doublet Jeopardy", 30k each vest.

Huh? I don't remember having that much trouble crafting HQ Linen hat from 35 to 50 all the way. That was my first 50 crafting so it's not like I have other 50 skills neither. Are you sure you are using at least 1 HQ Flax to make each Linen yarn to HQ and at least 1 HQ Linen yarn to HQ the Undyed linen? With 2 HQ undyed linen and a HQ linen yarn, it should give you about 50% of the quality bar already since the crow feather doesn't matter much. If you're just buying the NQ Flax, yeah don't expect to HQ mats at your level.

Well, I'd really like to earn some gil when I hit lv50 WVR, does Vanya HQ crafting make good gil?
I don't think I can lv50 other craft without at least 100k gil each :/

Profit margin (percentage not total gil) seem son par with other lower tiered items. BUT, you have to make 10x the items, sell 10x the items to equal but you have 10x the risk with Vanya.

With vanya you're dealing with either 200-400k in mats or countless hours of farming Philo tomes. most vanya require 9 Potash which are on average around 20K each(on my server) or 125 philo tomes.

Cost aside in order to guaranteed a 100% HQ rate you'll need multiple level 50's and probably close to 500-750k in materia melded...just a ball park. Much more cost involved with doing 2star.

I'm lv6 BTN so HQ Flax is not possible since I buy it from the marketboard.
I managed to create a HQ Linen Hat with just 1 HQ Undyed Linen and 1 HQ Linen Yarn, so I think it won't be so hard

It can still happen with a lower chance of HQ. I personally leveled BTN to 32 to gather Flax around Camp Tranquill. For Linen Hat, I used to mix 2 HQ with 1 NQ like you did (HQ undyed linen and HQ linen yarn or 2 HQ undyed linen with NQ linen yarn) and managed around 90% HQ I think. BTN is really just so you don't have to buy the HQ Flax. I think I got about 1 HQ to every 2 NQ. Speaking of which, I thought Linen yarn required 3 Flax lol. Did they change up the recipe? Once I got Byregot's Blessing, it became a whole lot easier to HQ stuffs.

I want to get WVR to lv50 first, then I'll do CRP and other crafts to make Vanya HQ gear for my WHM.
Today I made at least 15 hats, 5 turned HQ -.-
I have the best gear possible (Electrum accessories HQ, Wolf Fang Needle HQ, GC Smock and Gloves lv41, the rest is HQ linen), but still I often get no more than 30% with NQ mats. With HQ mats if I'm lucky I can even get 100% though.
I think once I get Advanced Touch (I'm lv42 and that's lv43) things might become a bit easier.
I use Steady Hand, Tricks of the Trade and Careful Synthesis.
