Crafting same ilvl items than me HQ?

Hi, I'm lv40 Weaver, lv16 Leatherworker and all the other crafts at random level between 1 and 15.
Well, levelling up my Weaver I noticed that after lv30-35 the class quests start to ask HQ gear pieces that are at my level, now I'm lv40 and I have to craft Woolen Tights HQ, that are ilvl41 O.O
I can easily HQ Cotton gear, Velveteen is really rare, Linen is impossible for me, so how the heck would I make HQ Woolen?
Is there anything I'm missing about Touch skills?
Here is what I usually do to get the best quality out of a craft:

Great Strides
Standard Touch
repeat this until 10 durability
Careful/Basic Synthesis

I usually get more than 90% HQ rate.

If it is just a few levels under me:

Basic Synthesis x0/x1/x2 (until I get red light, or until last Great Strides turn)
Standard Touch *Great Strides wears off*||
repeat until 10 durability, making sure to you reach it needing only 1 Careful Synthesis

I usually get 70-90% HQ rate.

If it is far above me:
Great Strides
Standard Synthesis x1/x2 (until I get red light, but without reaching 100% progress)
Standard Touch *Great Strides wears off*

With Linen gear I usually get a maximum of 25-28% with lots of red lights, 40% with rainbow light + Great Strides.


Please teach me how to HQ more often Woolen gear, I don't have the gil to buy Woolen Tights HQ

Get Hasty Touch from 15 CUL. It is a crafting godsend. With Steady Hands up it replicates a Basic Touch in terms of possibility of success yet costs no CP. Also get Tricks of the Trade for 15 ALC. It lets you recover CP on any "Good" condition

Your rotation is Inner Quiet -> Steady Hands -> Hasty Touch*3, then refill Durability and rinse and repeat.

It's also helpful to use at least one HQ mat - for instance I was making HQ linen yarn with one NQ flax and 1 HQ flax even at the same level.

Got beat to the punch on Hasty Touch and Tricks of the Trade.

Since you're a level 16 LeatherWorker, use Waste Not as well.

Steady Hand - Waste Not - Hasty Touch is a good rotation to do.

Use HQ mats you can get 1/2 the needed number for 100% this way.

I would also get new main-hand and off-hand tools. You basically need any stats it may add to HQ stuffs at your level. What I find helps though is to level Botanist to 32-ish to gather flax yourself and mix and match the HQ flax with the NQ flax in order to HQ the linen yarn and undyed linen needed to make the final item. I don't think I had any problems leveling weaver as my first 50 crafting this way but I had all other crafts at 15 too. Also, always make the best gears you can wear HQ first before attempting anything else. This helps in the long run as you can spiritbond it faster as well as having higher stats when you work on items for leves or quests.

Make sure all your gear is the best available, especially your main and offhand tools. You can also convert your lower level gear into materia to meld, which helps. HQ base mats help as well.

It's hard to make suggestions without coming across as bitter and sour but it really does come down to HQ Mats or a low emotional investment in the game. By that I mean you need to be able to sit there and watch Hasty Touch blow up over and over, right click the NQ trash, discard and stack HQ as they come.

The only reason I was able to get through Weaver HQ quest items was I came in to ARR with a 1.00 leve quested level 50 weaver and had stacks of wool and felt from the rewards tables in 1.00 and I could afford to sit there and watch NQ trash float up 80% of the time until it coughed up an HQ. I'm pretty sure at the end, I gave up and bought one of the Patrician pieces they ask for at 50.

Awwww yiss I managed to create Woolen Tights HQ from HQ Woolen Yarn and HQ Undyed Woolen Cloth reaching 34% XD
I bought mats from the marketboard for 20.000 gil (everything I had XD) and had only one chance... Did it
Now I'm looking for shards and I'm goin to lvup the other crafts to 15
