If I want to power level, it's better to do it in a non boring way, hence the dungeons, so i'm pretty happy if dungeons are the new power levelling goto. Better for power levelling sub classes as well and you get loot in the process (which u don't with fates)

Not to mention people may actually learn how to play their jobs when they're in a 4 man group as opposed to the MASH BUTTONS, KILL EVERYTHING mentality that FATE's breed.
and it helps you learn the role of your class better.
Dungeons still take way to long to kill trash mobs and at end game its the same crap / AK and WP... So why bother lvling an alt . When there are that many restricitions on having them anyway
In the early 30's, killing one dungeon mob is around 1500 XP. Killing a world mob is less than 300 XP. So they should take long to kill.
That's also why people might like dungeons, they can actually get a rotation off.
And since we're talking about 2.1, there should be more ways to gain tomestones like the treasure hunts and beastmen dailies at 50.
If you're bored of dungeons, that's perfectly reasonably at this point. But the trash mobs take too long? Each mob is a chunk of xp but going through the run takes a little more effort than spamming aoe in a fate. It's two different ways to get the XP.
It's only 35+ anyway where the dungeon kill XP doesn't grow by much but the FATE completion XP skyrockets.

Finally seeing the light huh? I would just quit if I were you. I say that in all seriousness, if the game is that depressing for you to actually question why you "bother", you probably should just save yourself the trouble. The game obviously has a system in place you don't appreciate or find enjoyment from.
