    So sick of this lag.

    Every evening after about 5PM CST my server is so crowded with people I end up suffering really bad lag. I can't do any endgame content unless I do it in the morning/afternoon. There is no way I can dodge anything and I am sick of paying for a game I can't play fully. I am also sick of all the rager's saying I suck when in reality my screen shows that I have successfully dodged an attack YET I die anyway. It's crap this is the only MMO that I have ever played that does this. I have played with lag but since this game is more focused on dodging it's impossible. =( I just want it to be fixed I know I am not the only one with this issue.

    I'm with you. I purchased this game, and play it in the evenings. The lag is insane. Needless to say I will NOT subscribe.

    All you nay-sayers of no lag have no clue what you're talking about because you're fortunate to have good connections to the game servers in the first place.

    I used to have the same problem as the OP until just a few days ago and will explain how the lag problem was resolved in my case.

    Lynissia, I'm sorry to inform you but your ISP is likely routing your connection over a less-than-stellar network (another party that's separate from your ISP) as it makes it way to SE's servers in Montreal.

    The lag you are seeing at peak times is the result of that shotty network trying to handle all the traffic they're getting during peak times.
    To get started with diagnosing your problem, you'll have to go to command prompt and use the tracert (trace route) function to SE's server to trace where your data packets are being sent (routed) before they reach the game servers.

    Google how to use and interpret tracert results as it will tell you where the bottleneck is.

    With those results, you'll have to contact your ISP and leap through many hurdles until you get to someone who understands all the tech jargon. They'll look at your tracert results and then will decide if they're willing to do anything to change the routing path you've been designated to go on (this is also known as a routing table).

    It took me a few hours of spent time to understand this stuff, contact my ISP, get the problem escalated within the ISP.
    After a week of waiting, they have now routed me on a different network and my lag issues in the game have gone away.

    Is this too much work for a game? Probably. I would've just quit my subscription if the lag issue continued on my end. The choice is yours.

    Alternatively, a lot of people (myself included) have resorted to purchasing a VPN service (I use pingzapper, which is $4 a month), and they will reroute your connection automatically.
