Relics , are not relices anymore

Seriously, Titan being sold/bought isn't "devaluing" your relic status. The quest chain can be completed in under a day by people who know what they're doing and have even a semi-competent group to play with. If Titan couldn't be purchased, you'd still have tons of relics out there because of the crazy speed at which you can complete the chain.

FFXIV is for the masses not the elitist. Currently anyways. There is nothing in the game the causal player can't get with time.

I don't think we will ever see items like K.club in FFXIV. It's not what they are going after.

Relics worked in XI because they literally were the end all be all at that time. In XIV it's the very first dungeon and ilvl 90, now you're going to get all these complaining people when we move up ilvls, "I worked hard for this, I demand it be upgraded to ilvl 100." We just need the best weapons for that ilvl to be the best, and not turn into the upgrade this armor from 10 years ago show that was XI.

It's expected in an MMO I would love to get new weapons as I progress and this gives me the incentive to run coil.

Its ok that relic+1 won't be the best as long as there is a new chapter in the quest line for +2 to be the best again. They did promise that it would be top dog with continuing upgrades... They should make good on this! Its not fare to be like, "oh too many people have it" when you made the game cake in the first place.

The relic weapon is a skin we can use in vanity...better weapons are coming...duh!

I am looking forward to the really cool gear sets FF is know for and not the all time classic crap we have now...it's good for what it's intended use and content.

oh um gee, I got a relic nao, I teh best evar and as a friend once put it I can: "stop playing the game, but just log in once in a while to admire my character in the lobby screen"

As awesome as the Gae Bolg looks, I don't want to used this winged spear for the rest of my Eorzean life. I'd like some variety as FFXIV evolves.
