    Error 2002 since latest update

    I've been constantly getting Error 2002 since the latest update. Please address this issue quickly. I AM paying for access to the game and this denies me from accessing what I've paid for.

    Im getting the same problem, Start is greyed out and eventually results in error 2002. In addition, any attempt to close FFXIV results in it crashing, even ending the process in task manager wont get rid of it, so I have to restart my PC each time.

    I've had a 2002 since yesterday sometime, same deal. Shouldn't have to pay for the game if I can't play it; it's not even restricted to a server like the "you are still logged in" disconnect problems.

    Fat chance of me renewing my subscription again if I can't even play the game...

    Just to let you guys know ive fixed my problem, I just deleted everything in C:\Users\UserName\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn except the character setting folders and everything started working as normal

    May have worked for you, but I'm still getting Error 2002. SE, GET OFF YOUR COLLECTIVE ASSES AND FIX THIS!

    friend is getting this error, anyone else try unblocking ports in the router like it says in this article?

    I have been having this issue since friday. If i miss another raid due to squares nonsensical tech issues i am probably just going to quit.

    sera fixed it, had to disable firewall on router

    double firewall! XD

    That worked. Why it suddenly decided to work this way now is odd. My router settings didn't change between patches. Something in the latest patch must be changed that affects it going through firewalls. *shrug* thanks
