I wouldn't care if it's your first time. Everyone had to have a first time in there at some point. However, my group wouldn't let me tank, until I had over 5k HP unbuffed on PLD. I would work on getting some darklight jewelry and maybe a better weapon if I were in your position.

Also, unfortunately it is completely normal to find douchebags in the duty finder. Also expect half the party to leave if you don't win the first try. Really, what I'm saying is, don't expect to win using the duty finder. Use the DF to practice so that when you run with a good group, you'll have an easier time.

And your point is what? obviously thats not the case or every one of these poor ppl would have FCs to run with. Idk where you got your DF rule book but I wouldnt expect people to "make do" every time they get in with a bad player and you arent one to judge how someone uses their limited play time.

I'll feel free to keep judging them, thank you very much. We aren't talking about a bad player here (besides, how do you tell a bad player without even attempting the fight once? Are your eyes magical or something?), we're talking about someone who's actually honest enough to say it's his first time. Leaving right away
    • is insulting to him
    • screws up everyone else because they have to requeue (what about their limited playing time?)
    • discourages people from ever asking questions and trying to improve
In other words, it's being an asshole. There's no excuse for being an asshole. Not even poor, poor you, who are so special and oh-so frustrated, are allowed to behave like an asshole to people you don't know.

Don't tell them you're new. Just play the game. most people do Titan HM duty finder for practice so don't be serious if people leave. just join a new duty and keep practice.

I have a feeling this fight is going to take a long time to complete as i won't not say anything it's just not the type of person i am and i am not going to change just for a game i just can't get my head into the mentality of why someone would leave because someone is new to a dungeon.

When i enter a dungeon for the first time i expect to die i try my best not to. I understand its part of the game i also understand not everyone thinks this way but to enter then not even attempt the fight and just leave its like why even enter through duty finder in the first place?

When i enter a dungeon through duty finder i know there is a chance i will be put into a group with people who have not done that dungeon before but i wont leave just because someone is new i guess not everyone thinks that way though if this is normal for duty finder lol.

Titan HM is something that normally takes a long time to complete. Basically, you need lots of practice. It sounds like you're already in the right frame of mind.

When you announce that it's you first time, you're (unintentionally) implying that you haven't done any research, haven't watched any videos, etc. You could explain, but no one wants to hear your life story. Most people don't socialize that much in DF primals, because you can't even friend someone unless they happen to be from the same server as you.

Anyways, you're a tank. Titan HM only requires one tank and in DF there will always be two. Just let the other tank be the main tank and learn the fight as a DD. After that, there's no reason to say that it's your first time.

Also, if one person leaves, everybody leaves. There's no option to replenish players in a primal fight. Without a Full Party, you can't use the limit break at all.

Like others said, you watched vids and if you got good idea of how it's gonna work just keep quiet and dont' say it's your first time and you should be good.
    Good Luck

Other than that looking at your char, not sure since I never tanked Titan HM on PLD but might want to swap out for DL accessories for more vit/hp. I tank on WAR and seen other PLD with near 5k and they were doing fine so I think you should be alright.

    How 2 Tank Titan HM:

    - 99% of the fight you will literally just be doing your RoH combo. You can freely spend Rampart, Foresight, and Conv before the heart phase and they'll be up again when you need them.

    - Dodge bombs by standing between two of them and standing on the very edge of the platform. If you're worried you won't be able to do it for a certain pattern then just eat one bomb.

    - FoF for the Heart Phase, Mercy Stroke when it's at 25% or w/e.

    - First thing Titan will do after the heart is broken and he performs his ultimate attack is flip a table at your face. This is his hardest hitting move and will do a lottttt of damage if you don't mitigate it, so make sure Rampart is up for this first one. From then on he will do a rotation you don't really have to worry about except for the bombs. However, every time you see him hit you with a left cleave that is when he will follow up with another table flip. Cycle your cooldowns for each one of these and you should be fine. Also helps if Virus or E4E is up on every or every other table flip.

    - If you have Stoneskin, cast it on yourself for every time Titan jumps. Sub Cure for this if you aren't fully topped up.

    - Pray to the Twelve that your group is competent.

You know, I really, really, REALLY get sick of hearing that every time tank advice is requested. Without fail, when I ask for tanking advice, the first reply I get is 'LOL, just tank!"

Everyone thought paid retainers and fantasia would be the end of it.

If all you're doing is standing there and getting hit, you'll surely fail. You're group will leave after the first "attempt". Nice try though.
