2.1 in my opinion doesnt offer 1 thing for people that are already coil geared and that is a HUGE mistake by SE and will lead to alot of people taking time off from their subs ... whether the game recovers for 2.2 we will see

So ... The way i enjoy MMOs is different to the way you enjoy MMOs. Therefore my way must be wrong?i hate this attitude and everyone with it will lead to the downfall of this game , Yes i love to play this game for fun . what is fun though?
Fun to me is trying to achieve something , what isnt fun for me is killing something or running threw the same content over and over and gaining absolutly nothing .. thats NOT fun
Why do people think that gearing up an alt is considered FUN for everyone fact is its not ... Just because theres alot of us that actually want to progress and to (dare i say it) gain something from our efforts doesnt mean we dont want to have fun , we just dont want to waste our time with pointless content.

Ah so there it is .. so when i say gearing up an alt isnt fun you respond with my way of playing must be wrong then .... but when you guys say you dont need to progress your main to have fun .. thats ok ....
lol i hate hypocrites
I challenge you to quote me when i said your way was wrong.
I asked why people cant play to have fun.
You gave a specific example and tried to apply it as 'fact' (your words, not mine) that gearing an alt class is not fun.
If the only thing that is fun for you is inflating your ilvl, then I'm afraid no MMO will ever satisfy you.
What 'achievements' are you looking for?

My signature says it all here. If you don't like to gear up alternate classes, why are you playing a game that has multiclassing as one of its primary features that the rest of the game's direction is developed on? Then complaining that an open-ended game with a horizontal endgame by design doesn't include vertical endgame progression with each patch?i hate this attitude and everyone with it will lead to the downfall of this game , Yes i love to play this game for fun . what is fun though?

LOL, and it's so true.My signature says it all here. I play for fun. SE kind of shot that in the face by forcing me to run with people I don't want to in Crystal Tower, though.

Not quite.
Let's compare two rather low IL items, an IL50 item and an IL55 item, Drachen Armet and Sipahi Turban.
What does the Sipahi Turban has better than the Drachen Armet? 1 point of Strength and Vitality. It also has the same accuracy.
Notice the change is very minimal in stats both have and are meaningful.
Let's now compare two currently IL90 items: Wyrm's Mail and Allagan Cuirass of Maiming.
Same attributes everywhere, except the Wyrm's Mail has Critical Hit and twice the Determination, whereas the Allagan Cuirass has Skill Speed and half the determination that the Wyrm's Mail has.
Presume that we get 5 more base (STR and VIT) out of the Allagan Cuirass.
It wold still be Skill Speed and half~ the determination (notice that in the other example of 5 IL of difference the secondary attribute remained the same)
The Wyrm's Mail would still be superior as it has sufficient Critical and Determination to outmatch the extra 5 STR that the Allagan would have. Sometimes the secondary attributes you have are sufficiently important to make out a lesser main attribute. Hell, that is why people consider the IL70 accessories superior to the IL90 ones because you can get more useful secondaries on them in relation to the minimal increase in primaries.
Also take note that anything that isn't body or legs the attribute differences get a lot smaller, I'm not even sure that +5 IL would grant 5 STR of difference, the Gae Bolg+1 only has 4 more STR than the Gae Bolg, and that's because it's strength on a weapon, I presume +5 IL on Allagan will do, at best, +2~+3 to a base attribute, enough that a more useful secondary can outmatch on it's own
