BARD 2.1 change [requesting letter from the producer explanation]

I prefer to remove internal release than blood for blood. Internal release is the OP issue because of teh constant procs of blood letter in conjuction with the River of blood. Removing Blood for blood Will nerf The class but removing internal release will balance it.

As long as Internal Release becomes exclusive to pugilist/monks only I'm cool with that. I just wouldn't see it being fair to stop only bards from getting it considering they have to level pugilist to 15 just to unlock the job.

I agree with this. It would be very unfair to hinder a certian class/job and not any others from a cross class ability.

I doubt it would be Internal Release (I only read the first page as I'm eager to reply already)

Due to the fact that ARC requires a PGL to become a BRD, so it's highly unlikely to happen.

If the nerf will hit the cross-class skills, I'd say it'll be BFB and/or Invigorate.

Are seriusly comparing what you need to beat the story and get DL gear with what you need to be competitive in Coil??? I mean even now we are below the damage of Blackmages and Monks, just think of how it will be if we lose this skills....

They do have pretty great burst damage but yea overall dps on a long fight is generally much less.

And like yoshi says, in endgame everyone takes atleast 1 bard because of how useful they are with songs, ranged silence is also nice.

Hate to tell you but this is NOT FF XI. Bard is a DPS, support doesn't exist.

Then why does bard have the lowest damage by a huge margin in coils but also has the best support skills? hmm?

We can argue all we want but damage-wise in endgame, bard is not compareable to the other damage dealers at damage. And by the looks of things square enix is making this an even larger disparity in damage.

So the fact remains is in long-drawn out fights, bards to not do damage compareable to that of the other damage dealing classes. And will do even less in the future.

You think ppl invite bards to coils for their damage? This might surprise you but... they dont.
