Thread: BARD 2.1 change [requesting letter from the producer explanation]

So this is what Yoshida said in the live letter:

f; how about BRD?
y; People were worried it was going to be nerfed a lot
y; BRD is too useful taking over other jobs position
y; No matter what content you go into, it can be used
y; There was one thing that was brough over as additional that was too strong
y; so we changed there
y; silence is going to still be there so don’t worry



ok so? Change to mobility? Change to songs?

I really dont see the point of releasing part of the information and leaving us once again with doubt

They touched on this a little in the Part X letter, but it is still rather vague. My guess is we might end up losing Blood for Blood, internal release, or both based on what was said here. Either way, some clarification would be nice.

additional is cross class skill. and the official translation only mentions changes to cross class skills. so say goodbye to either internal release or blood for blood to balance stuff

Probably internal release.

As most rational people expected, BRDs will likely only be losing access to a cross class skill or two. Like others have said, either Internal Release or Blood for Blood.


Said this months ago when people were going nuclear over BRD nerfs. BRD will be fine.

I would really like to know why Paladins din't get nerfed when people cried about it being way more useful than Warrior was, and now that people cry about Bard, we get nerfed and it will drop our damage by a HUGE amount when we already have to lower it when we use our Songs....

Except Blood for Blood and Internal Release are not really necessary at all for us. I never got Blood For Blood until I had already beaten the story and got half of my Darklight gear and my Relic. Internal Release...all it really helps us with the most at endgame is the procs for Bloodletter, and that can get ridiculous sometimes. There have been a few times while I have had both Windbite and Venomous Bite up, over the course of 30 seconds Bloodletter had a proc after every single use of it. That can get ridiculous fast (and lead to some serious aggro gain).

Are seriusly comparing what you need to beat the story and get DL gear with what you need to be competitive in Coil??? I mean even now we are below the damage of Blackmages and Monks, just think of how it will be if we lose this skills....
