SE balanced it out at launch regarding Weapons between our Utility and Increased Action Dmg Trait. Bard's have the lowest base damage of all jobs in the Main Weapon slot to their equivalent counterparts.

Which is why I am not worried in regards to Yoshi's comment of: "BRDs will get a very minor change" in the Live Letter. Unhappy players will always exaggerate numbers and/or leave out the details that matter. In the end, Brds will always be needed regardless in certain situations, like any role.

There shouldn't be a nerf to Bard damage at all. They need to make stuns and silences on the melee classes more reliable, maybe give Black Mage a silence. But don't touch the damn Bard.

Yes there should be a nerf brd is suppose to be a support job not a dps job. Im sorry you brd's are losing the flavor of the month but it has to be done like it or no. Might as well deal with it now, let it be the support job it is suppose to be.

No where in any ARR documentation does it state Bard is a support role. All documentation regarding Bard in ARR assigns it as a DPS Role.

This isn't 1.0 and it is different from other games in the FF series. Until SE announces and changes Bard's Role, it is a DPS Job. The Dev Team refers to it as a DPS Role and have always discussed its Utility and not support.

BOOHOO seriously? BRD is a SUPPORT job PERIOD. It is not dps it is support like it or not it always has been a support job. You and others dont like that than thats too bad. It is you the players who have turned it into a dps job not SE. If the jopb was not intented as support than your songs would not fit the support role but they do. You chose your job to play you made the wrong choice it seems, if you want dps we have mnk blm and drg, pick your poison but brd isnt in the dps jobs.

Brd is FotM due to casual players that just copy a gimped setup for coil.
But please explain ur statment, since Yoshi said, and made a game that has no room for support role.

I dont need to explain it is Yoshi who needs to explain his position. You dont take a job that is support as in all of the FF series and just throw it into the dps classification. The issue at had is Yoshi is coping other games way to much and not looking at the FF series history as what each job is classified as or dose. Brd is SUPPORT, always has been and always should be. The fact is players want the ranged classes to be dps and nothing else because they dont have to worry about anything other than running around and pressing buttons.

Yeah no. Until they split up Archer into Bard and Hunter/Ranger Bard should stay in their DPS role.
