I wish they would just tell us what they are doing so we can make contingency plans, start rolling on alts etc. Sure okay they can nerf us but how would that improve anything? How is contributing less damage with our party going to help anyone? Battles are a team effort. When you take something vital away from a team member it can only make the team suffer. I respect other classes and they play how they want to play, it doesn't affect me. I'm happy tp hear about buffs for the WAR and DRG. I just don't get how it impacts other people and why they want BRDS to suffer so to speak.

What bothers me the most is the potential to be less useful to my team.

I want to get an answer for this, Since BRDs are only Support and not DPS, if a player only played as ARC would you still take them in your group or would you laugh and deny them? Be honest here because truth be told you would laugh and deny them because they are not playing as BRD. So with this in mind, stop being whiny crybabies that we can do dmg at range and move because we do not have the greatest dmg as it is. To get the same dmg my undergeared DRG gets i have to have every crit and dmg increase buff active at the same time and not to mention we lose 20% dmg with songs. Seriously this community has gone to crap with all the babies that have flocked to it.

Wait till people start ditching us like they did with Warrior because we will be useless outside of Coil. And the only reason they will carry us is because of Mages Ballad.

and yeah...if I do nothing but hold groups back after the "adjustment" yeah I MIGHT consider switching classes. Is it just me or does no one but BRD's really like BRD's? The Problem they have is that it takes up a DPS slot that can be filled by a DPS class that does more dmg which is all of them, even my SMN does more dmg than my BRD does. Also, they problably feel that unless the group needs Mage's Ballad BRD isn't viable job to take with them unless they have no other choice.

Tanks and SCH don't care, WHM only like them for Ballad, all the other DPS (melee especially) compete with them and are often pushed aside for them. Unless you're in a static group, being a melee or SMN it can be hard to find a group to do anything because BRD are seen as godly DPS and have Ballad (BLM too, outside of WP speed runs, which then its all "LF BRD + BLM for WP SR"). I see 4-mans often shout for BRD + something else. 8-mans have more flexibility, but when groups want 2 BRD you have 2 slots for 4 classes (5 if they'll take a third BRD with them).

Yes, I'm lucky to have people to run dungeons with now, and have WHM up (and soon WAR), but my time shouting was not fun. And there are tons of people out there that rely on PUGs to run dungeons.

No, I don't hate BRD just for being BRD, I mean, you really do need 1 for most 8-mans, but except for Turn 2 (for Silence) 2 BRD just isn't necessary; I'd rather have 2 melee (DRG), a BRD, and a SMN/BLM...heck, that's our 'normal' static (BLM/SMN depending on who wants to heal). However, I do dislike FoTM BRD who blame everyone else for their nerfs. Kinda like how I dislike a lot of PAL because they don't want to share tanking with WAR.

Disagree, most ppl i know, actually almost all ppl i know dont like to have more them 1 meele because they prefer a second blm or smn, since they hit for same dmg and tend to receive less dmg from mecannics, i know a lot of player who would love to have a good monk on their static, but go find a monk that can silence and mantein a dps... 1 each 50...

what does a drg bring more then dps to the party that a blm doesn't? meele limit break, sure, dps, no, more dps to bards..., now blm can bring virus and eye for an eye... so the the fact is, meele dps only bring the limit break that can't be replace for a smn or blm

Bard don't need nerf, Mdps need some suport skill to use and make it more needed.

Why 2 DRG? No good MNK around. We have two really good DRG, and can't find any casters who are better and mesh well with us. Worse comes to worse, I go heal and one of them DPSs. And yes, melee overall needs to be buffed to further cement the risk vs reward mechanics; it is supposed to be addressed in 2.1.
