Thread: 2.1 Crystal Tower

Here is the problem. We all knew MONTHS ago that CT was the step between ak and coil. The dev team delivered what they promised... 24 man content that fits the gap between. Also the patch gives us PVP, more primals, more dungeons, different dungeons, and some class balances, housing, ability to change appearance. Any ONE of those would be a big deal in a patch. But apparently its not cool to think of all that we get... just whine about one aspect of the plethora of content delivered in a PATCH. I think anything but an EXPANSION when a game has been out half a year is what people are wanting. That is crazy.

Hard Core raiders (yes myself included) will have to wait till 2.2 for more coil and such. They have been telling us this for quite some time now.

If you're this concerned about CT then I'm sorry but your FC isn't HC. A real HC Freecompany wouldn't care about a dungeon that's for gearing up alts, new 50s and getting vanity gear.

You've made a HUUUUUUGE mistake with this. Not being able to queue with a full premade for a raid? You don't do regular patching/hotfixes and instead do massive patches with long wait times between. This means that your only raid, which has been cleared for some time now, will be the only actual raid content for some time to come.

We built our entire FC around having three, solid Coil groups with the full intention of diving into Crystal Tower as a Free Company and ONLY as a Free Company. We were fine with the gear being 10 iLvl lower than Coil but we absolutely will not pug raid content.

As a result of this implementation choice, you are going to lose a majority of your raiders. You can mark that down.

Yeah, man, we'll just hang out for six months with nothing to do while they figure out how to program two more Full Party's into the UI.

progression communities have already skipped this content and have always known it would be ilv80 so if they were waiting for this to have something to do and expecting challenges and useful gear they clearly had no clue what has been stated for a long time.

While I am sad, and slightly shocked that we cant run with all our FC at 2.1, if the content does not require it, and is repeatable then there isn't really much of an issue. The only was this will be a huge issue is if 1 group simply cant get past a part and it keeps the other 2 from finishing their bosses and getting their loot (since its chests for each group).

and "your only raid, which has been cleared for some time now," ... so COIL turn 5 which was legitimately cleared 2 months? after release, and most groups shortly after the release of a video (so they were close, and we don't know how far without the video but given the complaining on the forums I can assume fairly far)

I was expecting to have be able to enter with 24... but really entering with 8 isn't horrible, and they didn't say they wouldn't add alliance-like entry at a later date, it's just not coming out when the content is released.

It is a HUGE issue. Despite being iLvL 80, there was a lot of room for itemization in there where despite being 10 iLvL lower, pieces might still be best in slot. The fact that we can't queue together as a FC means this content will not get done by most FCs and we are now hung out to dry without any raid content for a VERY long time.

Don't be dense. There are FOUR raid encounters in the game right now and CT is now no longer consider raid content.
