Imagine if they forced us to DF for 16 other players for Bahamut's Labyrinth (assuming full alliances aren't out by then).
Please look forward to it.

The reason is simple....
1. They want low level people to gain the gear
2. Its makes content last longer( if you cant beat CT because your group is gimped you have to keep trying)
Personally i woul have rather had more coil turns...If you have beat turn 5 this next update is bleh
Wow my soul died alot. I was really planning to do this with my friends from my FC/LS.
TBH this might break the game for my FC. It's the one thing most of us were waiting for (that and pvp) to do a 24 man together. But now knowing this.. if the pvp isn't enough to keep me here I'm pretty sure I'm jumping ship.
I LIKE the game, I really do. But with nearly all my classes to 50 I am running out of shit to do and the few things they are adding isn't going to be enough without proper raid content.
Sad sad times.

Sometimes i think this game is made for solo players. I lost my hope on this game as MMO not only cause of this CT restriction but in general.
Anyone would come to the conclusion after playing this game for a few hours - you know, the forced solo storylines in almost every other MMO you could actually be with friends? Even 1.x had a few "get solo!" but you were still able to help your friend.
Even Yoshi has said he wants to design this game so solo players and players who like to group have "options" - well, where's our option to go into CT with our full group if we chose to do this content? I know you'll defend anything SE does, but did you really think about the reason people are upset even if progressive wise this content does nothing for coil beaters/farmers? It's more about the fact the game forces you to be solo more than it does to actually be grouped and even then the forced group is 99% of the time 4 man.
A handful of quests that you do by yourself dictates the entire game being single player? Your option to go into CT with your full group will come after 2.1's release, just like it's been stated by SE. I think it's funny how I'm apparently defending everything SE does, when infact I'm just not getting mad over information that was never stated in the first place not happening the way I expected it to.
But whatever, stay mad at nothing. That's always helpful.
'Stay mad', you can't really peg someone's emotion through typing.
Oh, also I'd like to see where SE stated that despite any other content you can make premade parties for, CT was going to be different just because it's 24. I mean, the DF lets you go in with a premade setup all the time, where did they say in all the times the past year they mentioned CT that this particular one would work differently?over information that was never stated in the first place
Since as far as they stated they said you'd go in with 24 people and that each "team" will split up and come together at certain points, nothing about 8 premade, 16 random people.
