When did anyone ever start assuming it was going to be anything but duty finder centric? They mentioned duty finder repeatedly ever since they first spoke about it, and said its not like Coil. I could tell from the beginning that something like this was going to go on, especially since they had originally intended it as pathed content before coil. You use DF for everything else but Chimera, Hydra, etc.

People are massively over reacting to this. Most FC's I am aware of could not even muster 24 whole people for such an event.

No choice was taken from you, it was never stated to begin with, and it should have been assumed you would use DF the entire time.

Be real. The very fact you can go into any other duty finder/instanced (Coil) content with premade people, why in any stretch of the imagination would someone figure you wouldn't be able to go in with a full premade set of people..?

Seriously, why would you even think for a second content designed for a Duty Finder where you can go in with premade parties wouldn't let you go in with premade parties? You can argue that SE has a track record of making odd decisions, but just because your FC doesn't have the people..doesn't mean many others don't either, most FC I see when I examine people have 30-100+ active people.

Your comment basically says how dare people think they can run content with friends when it comes out because SE said from the beginning it will be through DF!

Even if there are only X amount of FC's that could potentially run CT as a whole you can't discount the number of LS people have formed to run CT. Telling people they are overreacting to not being able to do content they have been planning months to do with their FC or LS is kind of silly.

The DF is supposed to be an option and when 2.1 comes out until whenever they actually finish the alliance party thing its a requirement if they want to do the content. That is what has people the most upset.

Tell people this when waiting for money from unemployment or even other MMOs that has a lack of end-game content. "Don't like it? JUST WAIT! KEEP WAITING!"

How does welfare payments or a lack of content got to do with the current subject? The content is there, you CAN run it with 3 groups of 8 from your FC members, takes a bit of luck, but the possibility IS there. Yoshi stated bluntly that they didn't get the 24 man premade done in time, so it'd be coming after CT launches.

Release content that 95% of players will enjoy, or hold back completed content because 5% cant play it the way they want to?

I wont play CT if I am forced to play with anyone other than a full 24 man from my FC. I refuse to do endgame content with random people and this is why. I dont trust the skills of random people. I have played with many people from my FC since 1.0 release. I trust them and know their skills. Secondly, I won't do endgame content with people I can't invite to mumble, vent, TS. I dont want to make my mumble server public. Thirdly, I dont want to share loot drops with random people. Playing the dungeon with 16 random people from other servers opens the door to much griefing, trolling, ninja looting.

I wouldn't worry about the difficulty of CT being so hard a DF group couldn't kill it in one session. Loot is per party, so you can still make a pre-made of 8 and sort your loot however you want. But that doesn't make up for the fact you can't bring in a pre-made of 24 people like you said and get more loot for your FC in a more productive manor.

These people have nothing to do with their FC communities other than cap their tomes every week and do the occasional relic.

A FC event these members could take part in. These people have already waited for a long time to have any casual endgame raiding content they could do with the FC. ^This, right here. It's beyond disappointing with this game. :\

I'm not sure why they *should* make Duty Roulette work with friends. It's a great tool to provide incentive to play and help out random strangers. You don't *NEED* to do the duty roulette to get your weekly myth cap. You can still SR WP with your friends if you like that route. But this gets you helping out others that may need help finding groups for story battles or even just normal dungeon runs.

So what if you don't need it? Why should one option of content be blocked off from you if you want to play with friends? It shouldn't. This is an MMO. We should not be forced to solo queue for content in an MMO. And yes, the duty roulette is in and of itself content, as it is a new means of obtaining end game tokens. You don't get tokens by doing guildhests or lower level dungeons with your friends, therefore content is blocked from us.

Each 8 player group has its own personal loot ...

So you don't like playing with people outside your little circle? Cool. Thats your choice. Theres people who like playing with random people. I'm one of them, and im sure im not alone.

So far, I have never been griefed in in a dungeon or any of the Primals. Maybe im just lucky like that. But groups i end up in are always calm and fun.

Why don't you give an example of 'griefing' that would occur in the Tower?
