Warrior Relic Weapon Issue With Stats

Gotta work for what you actually need.

PLD doesn't (nor does DRG, BRD, or WHM). Curtana has both acc and parry on it from the get go. The Allagan Sword has the same stats a slightly tweaked ratio. Both of the secondary stats on them are the best stats for tanks. WAR gets a weapon with parry and skill speed or accuracy and determination: no matter what, one of your secondary stats as a WAR is going to be effectively wasted itemization. In almost every case, the PLD gear is, at *worst* only marginally worse than the Allagan equivalent. There's a lot of WAR gear that just has terrible itemization.

Of course, when discussing the WAR weaps, you have to consider that, no matter what, you'll only get one good tank stat on a WAR weapon: Bravura gets parry but has itemization wasted on skill speed whereas the Allagan Axe get acc but itemization wasted on determination. Regardless of which weapon you go with, you're not getting the stats that you really want.

Determination isn't a 'waste' on how Warrior is at the moment, can't say for 2.1. It sure as hell isn't something you should go out your way for but if a tank item drops that is a upgrade for the warrior and has determination.. Greeeeat! Poor man's strength/heals to help you out a little bit.

And yes if I recall correctly the Allagan Battleaxe has faster auto speed. Beats the bravura more then one way.. I prefer the Bravura over the.. wizard cane axe but -shrug- it'll be better no matter what. Especially with it going to item level 95 in 2.1
