The entire stat and battle systems need an overhaul.

The problem is this: the current stat system is awful because it basically takes away the freedom the armory system was supposed to grant us by only allowing us to be good at one class at time, meaning that the mage can't become the tank at the drop of a hat (which is one of the features it touted).

On the other end of the spectrum, with auto point distribution, someone who has leveled all classes to 50 is the ultimate player. There's no real uniqueness at that point because having every class to 50 means you ARE the best at everything.

But none of this matters until they get class uniqueness figured out. Until they better define class roles, nothing else matters because we don't yet have a basis of comparison.

Even WITH a customizable stat chart for every class, what would the differences between two players of the same class be? There's usually an "optimal" build for a class so we wouldn't see much variety.

Like I said, the whole thing needs to be redone before we can have any meaningful discussion on it, and I think Yoshi-P is doing that right now.
