The OP being one of them, though sadly I didn't realize this until after the fact and I made my last response.

What startling revelation did I come to in order to realize this? Well for starters they posted on an alt character that only has a single level 1 (so as not to give away who they really are):
They claim it took two days to get weaver to level 10 (it doesn't by a long shot)
They claim the quest has the main story icon (it doesn't).
They claim to need botanist for cotton balls (They're like 10g from a vendor)
They claim "I played warcraft 3, starcraft and WoW competitively and professionally", yet anyone like that would easily be smart enough to figure out how vendors and questing works.

It's a troll post through and through.

Crafting was dreadfully boring to me so I just didn't have the urge to play continuously. I logged in and out for the past 3 days since I got the quest.

it does. I just double checked again and it does have the story icon next to the quest name.

I wasn't able to find cotton balls from vendors, at least not from the tradecraft vendor in ul'dah. I didn't check the other cities but figured they would be more or less the same.

who said i didn't know how questing/vendors work? I just didn't realize that the dagger was ALREADY materia-enchanted. I thought the NPC wanted me to enchant first(requires lv19), and then hand it to him. I thought this because the NPC had the red incomplete mark on his head not the green one.
