Remove Materia Requirements?

I'd like to remove materia on my spiritbound crafted armor. Is it possible to do so withouth any DoH classes leveled? I went to the goblin camp in thanalan but can't find how to get the materia removal ability.

What DoH level do I need to get the quest?

I'm told you simply have to talk to the goblin. Did you try the "Small Talk" option, if there was one?

Don't you have to do the materia overmeld quest first at lvl 25 DoH? Can't remember, but you might.

No - you don't. But you need to have the first materia quest completed - e.g. be at least lvl 19 on one of your DoH - quite easy to reach in one day really.

Just to let you know, removing Materia, just frees up the slot. It doesn't get you the Materia back, it destroys it.
