    Yoshi-P, please consider this Myth cap suggestion...

    I was reading the latest post you wrote concerning projected changes for 2.1 and noticed that you commented about raising the Mythology cap to "around 450". I beg of you to consider going a little higher and make that new cap a 500 point maximum. With all of the additional ways to earn Myth being instituted on top of the current best methods, hitting 500 a week would assuredly not be a major hurdle for most of the player base, casual included.

    The reason why 500 is such an important number is that it would allow folks who achieve cap each the week the opportunity to purchase a 495 piece of AF2 at worst once a week, not a bad reward for capping. With so many folks leveling alternate jobs, this would allow them to also better gear those alternates, which in turn creates greater flexibility and usefulness for players who have taken the time to level those additional jobs. I believe it is a win-win for everyone, players and developers alike.

    As you can see, this is my first post to the forums, though I read them everyday and have been playing since beta. I just felt that this was too important of a topic to say nothing and wanted to express my thought.

    Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestion and I am very much looking forward to 2.1 and beyond!

    Nah, the myth tokens already makes it easy enough to farm ilv 90 gear. Being able to afford a piece like the gloves, boots, head within one week would just be stupid.

    You'd have people fully kitted out within a month or so.

    I already said no right?

    yep i dont agree to this either. its already too easy to grind for gear in this game. we dont need anymore "elites" whining about how there is no content in this game.

    it's already a reasonable increase, not to mention the myth gear is supposed to supplement gear drops from Dungeon content, in which case 2.1 will introduce more gear.

    also, what Grembo said, getting the best gear via spamming easy dungeons is already a very generous move.

    Thanks for all of the feedback so far, even if it doesn't vibe with my suggestion... Sephirah that gif made me LOL hard! I figured if nothing else, this would also allow me to gauge community interest or lack thereof. Please do continue to comment folks on why you think it should or shouldn't happen. I appreciate it!

    Personally I see no need to raise the cap even further.
    They are already doing those who asked for a raise a favor by granting that wish.

    And I think that the fact that you need to wait at least one week to obtain a piece makes it more special. Instant gratification is not always a good thing.

    I think what they should do is make the cap similar to the way leve allowances work.

    For example I am allowed to get 300 more mythology each week, but if I fail to acquire 300 mythology in one week, and instead I only got 100, when it resets again I would now be able to acquire 500 mythology that week (300 for the current week, plus the 200 that i missed from the previous week). Allow it to build up to the cap of 2000 total mythology that you can possess at one time.

    This way everyone's progression is still capped per week, but the casual people who don't have as much time to play don't lose out if they just couldn't log in one week.
