I know it's old ( and they obviously don't want to reveal the job till tomorrow *If they do show anything new job/class related). I am merely pointing out that they put it there for the possibility of another class/job. Also, I am just really excited for this patch, that when I saw the poster ( again), I was like wait a moment...

Nothing wrong with speculating .

Because they want to get people hyped for later additions to the game beyond 2.1. Which is why in the last letter they "leaked" the af2 armor for 2.2 and pretty much said Leviathan will be in it also. There's also the whole 2 unlabeled job armors that screamed time mage and musketeer that did not say 2.2 or even what job they were.

They want to generate hype because they want people to look forward to things. All these things are are "stealth leaks" when in actuality they are nothing more than hype generators that keep people guessing and looking forward to the future.

They also put in the logo right after showing that artwork. Man, maybe they're re-relaunching the game! Why else would they put the game logo in the middle of a teaser trailer?!

Interview where Yoshida says they know a Scout Class (read Thief) is missing. (Also mentions Ninjas/Samurais as wanted, nothing about putting in game)

A translated interview found on these forums from when 1.x was still running. It specifically mentions "just a few of the random ideas (or delusions) that Yoshida was kicking around in his head, none of which are finalized concepts." However, confirmed Arcanist for 2.0 release. (Mentions they were thinking about branching Dark Knight off of Gladiator and bringing Musketeer into game with dual pistols, neither confirmed or set in stone.)

There are plenty of other interviews mentioning there will be new jobs/classes, no specifics or timelines. However, what I CAN'T find is an OFFICIAL interview or comment by Yoshi that is not 'just an idea' saying that they will in fact be bringing Musketeer into the game.

I have seen plenty of people arguing because there was a Musketeer's Guild in 1.x (from Tanaka, not Yoshi) and the fact that there are NPCs currently 'firing pistols' in the practicing area for the Marauders' guild. They've data mined and found graphics that like the guild crest that existed in 1.x in 2.0, blah blah blah.

Obviously nobody can say what will and won't be in the game, but I like to go by interviews and official statements. If you have one, please link it so I can check it out as I try to stay up to date on this.

The ONLY other thing I've seen that's not quite official, but mentioned by Yoshi in interviews is that he personally would like to see Red Mage brought to ARR.

In regards to the original poster, yes we're getting a scout class (perhaps Thief class, Ninja job? who knows). To the musketeer lovers, please toss a link to an interview! I am interested in reading it.

This is from another thread, but I couldn't ever get anyone to give a solid answer. Musketeer isn't 'in the game' as you said, although I've seen all the speculations/hints and obvious things that would make for it to be in the game. However, other than just wanting Musketeer and speculation do you have any direct info? I'd REALLY love to read it.
