    Monk rotation macros

Is there a thread for these? Since monk's combo abilities are stance dependent you can stack them in macros to do one button combos. I default with True Strike for second hit and have Twin Strikes on its own button. When it lights up I know I am on second hit of combo and will use it when buff is needed. I use the third hit of the combo for the icon, I know if none of them are lit up then they will open with bootshine. I will probably make single macros for One Ilm Punch and Dragon Kick as I acquire them and add Howling Fist to AOE macro.

I also put off-GCD abilities at the bottom and use them during the GCD. I change up the order so I can use a certain one if they are all on CD.

    Snap Punch Combo

    /micon "Snap Punch"
    /ac "Snap Punch" <t>
    /ac "Snap Punch" <tt>
    /ac "True Strike" <t>
    /ac "True Strike" <tt>
    /ac "Bootshine" <t>
    /ac "Bootshine" <tt>
    /ac "Mercy Stroke" <t>
    /ac "Mercy Stroke" <tt>
    /ac "Blood for Blood" <me>
    /ac "Internal Release" <me>

    Demolish:

    /micon "Demolish"
    /ac "Demolish" <t>
    /ac "Demolish" <tt>
    /ac "True Strike" <t>
    /ac "True Strike" <tt>
    /ac "Bootshine" <t>
    /ac "Bootshine" <tt>
    /ac "Blood for Blood" <me>
    /ac "Mercy Stroke" <t>
    /ac "Mercy Stroke" <tt>
    /ac "Internal Release" <me>

Twin Snakes (Use this when you need to buff, will make similar macros for One Ilm Punch and Dragon Kick):

    /micon "Twin Snakes"
    /ac "Twin Snakes" <t>
    /ac "Twin Snakes" <tt>
    /ac "Internal Release" <me>
    /ac "Blood for Blood" <me>
    /ac "Mercy Stroke" <t>
    /ac "Mercy Stroke" <tt>

    AOE:

    /micon "Arm of the Destroyer"
    /ac "Rockbreaker" <t>
    /ac "Rockbreaker" <tt>
    /ac "Twin Snakes" <t>
    /ac "Twin Snakes" <tt>
/ac "Arm of the Destroyer" <t>
/ac "Arm of the Destroyer" <tt>
    /ac "Featherfoot" <me>
    /ac "Mercy Stroke" <t>
    /ac "Mercy Stroke" <tt>
    /ac "Blood for Blood" <me>
    /ac "Internal Release" <me>

why? Bar space on gamepad is valuable and this frees up multiple buttons.

    1) Monk doesn't have a rotation
    2) use Gamepad and have room for every ability and a few dozen more
    3) Monk dosen't have a rotation
    4) Monk doesn't have a rotation
    5) One button macros are bad
    6) Monk doesn't have a rotation

EDIT: Forgot to mention Monk doesn't have a rotation

There is no persuading you. You think you are right and will never change. But here let me win...

These macros aren't based on the rotation. Just looking at them, you can see they you can memorize the abilities that each button has listed and use them while still saving space.
All it does is condense the buttons, not force you into a rotation. If I understand it correctly that is.
This is only possible due to our stances.

To the OP, I believe it'd be better if you controlled your cooldowns (BfB and IR). Also I've heard that these macros suffer from a delay or something.

Limited space using a gamepad is a problem with a lot of the jobs, but mnk is not one of them. it has so many rare use skills you can just put them on the 2nd HB and switch over if need them, which is unlikely. Or put so L2+R2 switch to HB2 right.

SCH and SMN and WAR need to save space and it's a huge problem to get a proper layout, but with mnk? totally unneccessary

MNK is one of the worst jobs to use macros on due to lack of skill queueing on said macros. It's a DPS lost, especially when GL3's up.

I tried using those types of macros before and while they do work, only hitting a few buttons made mnk sooo boring.
