    You are forgetting that Inner Beast isn't the only thing that is going to be changed: with Defiance you'll get a PERMANENT 20% bonus to HP restoration, which means that you won't save your wrath stacks anymore and probably use Inner Beast any time it's avaiable. The healing role will therefore go back to the healers and the damage mitigation one to you: after all you are a tank, not a one-man-party, so let your healers heal you.

    People who think the current IB is better than the proposed change haven't stopped to think what main tanking a 24 man will look like in terms of incoming damage.

    Sure, Crystal Tower sounds like a lot of it will be three 8 mans that meet up here and there, but I'm sure we'll also have some traditional fights in a 24 man (CT or future content) where one tank is taking the vast majority of the damage in an encounter designed around more than 2 healers being present. Current Inner Beast would be trash in that scenario.

    I have a solution, why not make steel cylone get the -20% dmg taken buff and inner beast stay the same probem solved

    They're not gonna make stuff in CT do more burst than Coil. Twintania is already capable of dropping full i90 PLDs in a matter of seconds if you miss a CD or Virus, you can't really up the damage threshold much higher, especially in content designed to be easier (and DF-able).

    Something like this is a good idea. With the change to wrath/defiance in 2.1 we'll rarely be sitting on stacks of wrath (only in cases like Titan/Twin to mitigate upcoming burst). We desperately need more wrath options other than IB spam with an Unchained every 2 minutes. Even with the enmity bonus SC is a joke, Overpower was already more than enough to keep hate and the 20% DR on the new IB will grossly outweigh SC in big AoE pulls.

    The current IB design is far too unreliable to be useful. The change helps make IB a much more reliable, and predictable, use.

    Example, Titan's mountain buster, no matter what I know how much damage i'm shaving off by use IB before it. Currently, it's russian roullette, except with boulders.

    I'd rather see the heal on SC and the mitigation on IB than vice versa.

    I'd also rather see both of those abilities off GCD.

    Come on Paikis answer the question that some people ask about how can you even do so much damage like that.
    You told us your average IB is like 1.8-2k heal with your gryphonskin acessories. how can you even pull out a damage like that with your 8k hp?

    8K HP is like you must be in the party and almost full full with ilvl90 gear of fending... (without food or potion)

    Why would I quote numbers without party buffs and food? How many times have you soloed BC without food? In the gryphonskin setup I have about 7900 from memory.
