    Not all mobs are weak to piercing right.

    Some arrows simply do more dmg on specific mobs. Sure it's not mind blowly dfferent so sticking to a single type isn't the end of the world.

    Hell even the guild tells you about the benifits of specific arrows.

    Silver arrows, for undead
    Obsidian arrows, to pierce magic barriers
    Swallowtail arrows, for giant beasts
    Poison arrows, for long battles
    Triple arrow, for battles against multiple foes

    (yeah I know there not all in the game and alot of what SE says is BS) but it's hard not to notice the difference of Iron swallowtail on GB.
