It doesn't seem like that big a deal. If they're using the game engine to create the character snapshot (i'm assuming it does since it has shadows and all), it's seems simply a matter of toggling on the /visor command before they take the character snapshot for the forums. Then just provide a "visor down" checkbox somewhere in your profile settings. Doesn't seem like an unreasonable request.

But as far as the on/off toggle for the helm on your forum avatar, where is that? I'm not seeing it in my profile settings.

OH! you're talking about in game. Yea, you can toggle your helm on/off in game. I didn't realize it saved that setting when generating your forum avatar snapshot.

However, did you know about the /visor command? Try throwing on the Warrior AF helmet you got during the warrior quests. Then type /visor. The visor on the helm flips up and down. It's kinda neat! But it doesn't work for most helms.

Anyhow, just to clarify, it would be nice to be able to have your forum avatar (picture to the left) show up with visor down for those helms that support this. This has nothing to do with in game functionality.
