So recently due to a brain fart and me panicking I lost a bunch of Gil recently and I have seen the only way to get my Gil back is to play the market with materia, I am just simply asking if anyone knows a good way to make a good sum of Gil be it off the market or farming?

With 2.1 being brand new, the economy is changing a lot. Materia might not be as safe a bet as it used to be.

The answer is going to be dependent on where your server currently stands. There are currently two sides of which the economy for each server can stand on.

One is the pre 2.1 economy where housing items continue to have no influence because servers have not started to buy lots yet. In this instance, your best bet is to not produce or do anything in that direction. Stay on the pre 2.1 items and goods.

If your economy is post 2.1, I would recommend aiming for things in that direction.

Once again, the real answer is dependent on your server. You'll need to observe what is currently happening in your market.

Actually crafting low level HQ items can be decent profit. People run low level duty more since exp increase, meaning they can't be undergear as opposed to doing fate.

I've found that items for gatherers and crafters sell higher than Battle gear.

2 weeks after 2.1 I am suprised but the truth is tier3 materias still sell well on my server. Their prices have even raised after 2.1
So just SB your way to rich, it's easier now with the rank FC acction.

our lvl 3 material is so low, it costs more to buy that stuff to convert it, not worth it.
You would have to get a good material every 3rd item to break even
