Dhorme Chimera Duty Finder

I don't know if its just me, but I'm finding it near impossible to find a group for this. Why isn't this on DF? I know they can't add every last quest to it, but at least an 8 man boss fight could count as a trial, similar to what they did with the level 49 story quest. I just find it annoying to have to stand around spamming for members when we have the DF sitting right there. I'm not asking to make it easy or anything, just give us the matchmaking like they have available for every other required group quest in the game.

Indeed. This so much. This is a mayor problem for me who do not join bigger guilds in MMOs because they have a horrible habbit of just spamming invites to everyone leaving me with almost no one to join games with beside via DF.

This gets harder and harder to find groups for without duty finder. It's such an enormous stumbling block.

This is a big problem and will only become more apparent as people no longer need to run it. A good incentive would be awarding a small amount of Tomes (10?) for players to help others with the quest. I see this as the easiest fix.

Dhorme Chimera and Hydra are both events that players must complete to finish the
Quest " A Relic Reborn ". I doubt there will ever be a lack of people that need to do these events as each Job Class must complete the " A Relic Reborn " quest for the respective weapon. Meaning if you level more than one character / job you will need to replay " A Relic Reborn " over.

These both should still be a Duty Finder ( Instance ).

I think SE added these in without a Instance due to time restraints.. I like the idea of these dungeons for the Quest " A Relic Reborn " used in Duty Finder.

However with that being said, they can keep the current structure for a Hard Mode with rewards such as Myth Tomes or... Gear Drops.

That said, I'm working on 3rd relic currently and haven't had major wait times yet. On chimera or otherwise. Possibly because I'm on high population server. Possibly because I've had FC members willing to join in (like, join PUG, /fc need healer for last spot at chimera, anyone up for it? .. not largely FC group, except Titan).

As time goes on, chimera and hydra will get relatively easier as people's gear and experience get better (the one's helping or on secondary class relics - not the new 50s obviously). So while number of new players needing it goes down, chance of success goes up.

The difficulty is not the issue. The fact there will be many fewer people over time willing to do the quest, is. There are not sufficient rewards to encourage anyone to re-do the quest even once, except as a favor. That's a problem and it'll get worse. It's already pretty bad with the begging.

This sort of begging was the downfall of SWTOR when it launched, and SWTOR's quests weren't even essential like the DF quests are in this game.

Someone needs to consider the fact that new players or new classes are, and will continue, to dry up quickly. This is especially true since things like FATEs undermine low-level dungeons and there's no incentive to re-run things like Chimera or Hydra.

Oh look, I got quoted out of context. Sorry, didn't know I needed to specify *that* much detail. "As time goes on, chimera and hydra will get relatively easier [to kill, after the party is fully formed] as people's gear and experience get better". So as the difficulty of forming party goes up, the expected number of attempts once formed goes down.

There have been plenty of successful MMOs with no equivalent of the duty finder whatsoever.

PS. Finished my 3rd relic, may do 4th before too long. All pugged below Titan. Re-doing it just comes down to if you want to have secondary classes you can use at high end content.

Agreed. I got my first relic for Bard early on and there were always groups forming. Now I am finally getting around to getting a relic for my black mage and cant get a party. I am on one of the highest pop servers and on during primetime and nobody is doing Chimera. All I have done the last 2 nights is stand around dragonhead shouting for a chimera group while waiting for DF to pop AK. Do my AK run then stand around shouting for a half hour while I wait for AK again.

This NEEDS to be added to Duty Finder.
