Used to be at least in FFXI the title was part of checking someone, not sure why it's not that way in this game.

It is that way in this game :P The player's title is the very first thing displayed. Its in the upper left hand corner, above someone's name when you examine them.

I'd love to see titles displayed like the target image shown, I've often wondered about that myself.

Yes, the picture looks amazing.
Yes, titles should be visible. What's the point if you can't show it off? In case someone examines you?
I don't think it'd be a big UI strain or get in the way too much (disappear in place of life bars like it is already, or whatever you have it set to).
Also, didn't DCUO have titles and worked fine on the PS3? Not sure that's the issue. Different games though.

wait.. the UI is slightly different than what we have now. the text is a bit different, and that hotbar is straight from 1.0.

I really want displayable titles. It kinda ruins the point of some of the harder achievements when the only way you can show it off, is on the off chance that someone examines you.

Obviously we should have the option to turn them off too, if we dislike them.

This was one thing that always bugged me too. You should be able to see titles on your characters name. Other games do this and it was even in the concept art. Titles right now are kind of useless because nobody can see them unless they check you which doesn't happen often at all.
