Chocobo Respec

For those of us that survived the grind and got our chocobo to 10 will there be any way to repec our rank points?. Some people myself included had no idea you had to spec ALL your points into one tree to get af barding and as things currently are screwed.

yes they're addressing this in 2.1. There will be a way to respec your chocobo.

My concern is if we respec our chocobo into all three trees, if each respec will earn us that trees barding. I really hope so.

how did you get that guy to rank 10?! i leveled a character to lv fifty and that barely got my chocobo to rank 3. not to mention the fact that you cant Q or mount chocobo when he is summoned makes it terrible to have him summoned.

The most common way seems to be grinding them at lvl 50 while spiritbonding gear. Theres a specific place in southshroud thats supposed to be a premo spot to do it if you can get two full parties out there to aoe down the mobs. It's still supposed take hours and hours to get a single rank even doing that. Like twelve to eighteen hours to get ranks above seven or so. I've only got mine up to six and that alone sucked.

Another couple places you can grind, especially if you're doing it solo, is the natalan? beast-tribe area in coerthas, and the garlean/earth elementals in northern thanalan. All those mobs are lvl 49.

Either way ranking your chocobo suuucks. I posted not long ago asking if anyone had any better advice and the above seems to be considered the best way, despite not being a great way.

Best way to level the Chocobo is the traditional way of exp grinding (no quest, no FATE, just kill enemies the same level as you or over your level).

What I understand is that they are working on it. But i believe they didn't say it come with 2.1?

they are probably tacking a once-a-*insert time period here* cooldown on it to prevent just that.

Spiritbond grind, grind, grind til your eyes and fingers bleed,then grind some more. Takes an ungodly number of hours to rank up past 6.
