Found another interesting one: Ul'dah, Ruby Road Exchange...

Gridania's walkway was at least nice. I remember the bridge leading out of Limsa to La Noscea. It was soooooo long. Took forever to get to the end! But every once in a while I do miss those long runs where you thank everything above for having the ability to auto run![]()

I do not miss the 1.0 maps, yeah they were a nice size, but as mentioned before: soooo much was a copy/paste job. Not just the odd tree, like entire lil sections of tree/small pond etc. It was just too much. Too obvious.
~Quit moping, get hoping~

1.0 maps are horrible copy pasta landscape, you can barely distinguish where you were, it also creates unnecessary long traveling time. You should feel bad for wanting to go back to those maps.
What we see now in ARR is not complete, more areas will be added and expanded.

I love the comparisons between 1.0 landmarks and their 2.0 counterparts. Some of them look the same, and some look vastly different.
I wanna compare dungeon locations. Are they in the same spot? I know Cutters Cry moved from East Thanalan to central, right above Black Brush. Are there any dungeons that are in the same general area as their 1.0 versions?

Toto Rak is still in Silent Arbor near the same place. CC used to be Northern Thanalan near camp Bluefog. Darkhold is in the same place. AV is much closer to DH now due to the part of the highlands it was originally in is not there in 2.0.

This is true. That's why each large land area had a very narrow and long "tunnel" section connecting them. And why Gridania had the long covered entryway, why limsa had the long bridge, and why Ul'dah's main gates were closed forcing you to take a side alley outside.
