If you're tanking an NM (you know, the only 5 mobs in the game that aren't perfectly fine being free-for-all spam), you're not consistently getting 2000 TP in 20 seconds. And if you're looking for damage on NMs, Luminous Spire doesn't miss, but Riot Blade does the most damage when it hits (I mostly use LS myself, but NMs are pretty easy too, and goofing off on boring fights is fun).

For anything else (except if you're looking to incap something's right arm, or need to hit something far away) you wouldn't use Riot Blade as your primary DD WS. But on most leve mobs, it's fairly easy for stuff to die fast enough that you've got extra TP left over. Why not have fun going for big numbers when it really doesn't matter anyway?

The pacification is only 20 seconds. Depending on the fight and your role in it, that's low enough to not really be an issue.

The pacification is a bit annoying, yes, but the WS is hardly useless. It's just more situational than others. (pew pew)

Simian Thrash is much cooler. And significantly less useful.

All the rank 50 WSs should look more distinctive.

Just a question, has anyone actually been truly incapacitated by it? I get the Pacification status effect but can still use my WS/Abilities just fine...

It still does more damage than the other GLD WS's, and when you BR for a 2x damage buff you can see it shine. I've had 300-600 Riot Blades on the NM's quite often in BRs and it can actually hit the mobs right arm from the front which makes it for easy Scimitar incaps.

Though, as stated, the best WS's to use are Phalanx and Luminous Spire for NM's if you are not joining BR's. Phalanx has no stamina cost, and Luminous Spire never misses and gives the mob Mdef. down.

For doing random leve's or farming... it honestly doesn't matter though I just use Riot Blade to see silly numbers.

It seems a bit buggy, sometimes I get pacification, sometimes I don't.

If anyone had the Clean Slate ability from leatherworker before the last update you know what I mean lol.
