Some fish are exclusive to schools.

Thanks for the quick Reply. So I guess as someone starting off I should just kick off my shoes and pick a spot for awhile ^^
I'm wondering if, anyone else is having the same problem as I.
I recently hit R18 on fishing and received Gulleye III.
Being that I was already in the Horizon area, I decided to give it a go, to see what I could find.
I must have run all over the area twice, and not once was I able to find a Grade 3 school.
I checked on a few sites including disciplesoftheland but unfortunately they didn't seem to have any schools listed.
Does anyone know where Grade 3 schools can be found?
Try Gridania most of the streams have schools in them. Is there a particular fish you're looking for? Otherwise it's easier to level up just regular fishing..
Where the horsebirds at?!
I guess it really comes down to my questioning mind, and what fish might I attain from these schools, or if there is any point in purchasing the guild abilities since we definitely don't need them to simply rank up.
Things like tarantula's, red, and blue corals are about the only thing that comes to mind for fishing schools. It's easier to farm mobs to get them though if you're just looking for +3s.
About the only thing that's worth getting is the lvl 36 guild mark abilities that up the chance for an HQ item. The crystal, stat boosters, and mob eluders are worthless.
http://www.disciplesoftheland.com/ pretty much has all locations of nodes and what you can get from them.

I think you might have the spear fishing spots confused with schools of fish.
Schools appear in normal fishing waters, but you have to move around like mining and logging nodes.
The schools as I have read, contain fish differing from what you normally find in that body of water, which is why I'm curious.
