DO i have to get every job just craft ? Ive been putting my jobs off to the side current job right now is a CAP and in order to make a item I need to be a weaver to make a spinning wheel and a gold smith to make something else etc so..in general do I have to be EVRYTHING?

No, that's what the markets are for.

Do you have to? No. Market boards or friends will be a way to do this.

Does it help? Absolutely. And not just in being able to provide your own middle step materials. Your success with high level crafting of any disciple greatly benefits from the high level abilities of other classes.

Take everything to lv15 if you can, then go on with your favourite one.
I hit lv41 as weaver today with most crafts at 15 and less than 10000 gil.

I had 3 characters in 1.00 and each one had a craft. After ARR I have pretty much focused on one character but the situation allows me to test things and I can assure you that the character with just Armorer to 50 has no chance in hell of making two star gear on her own.

There is certainly an enormous benefit from leveling multiple crafts. Not only cross class skills that are extremely beneficial, but also the ability to crafts items you need. You'll often find that you need an item from another craft in order to finish a synth. Maybe you need a silver ingot from GSM to finish a WVR synth, or an Iron Ingot from BSM to finish a CRP synth. You just never know. The ability to make the items you need and not rely on the markets can be highly beneficial. Plus you'll begin to be able to repair your own gear, which is also nice. Lately I've started using my GC seals to buy Dark Matter to repair my own gear which allows me save gil I would have spent on repairs. Which was, until recently, my only real expense in crafting and harvesting. Still need some more levels on WVR, GSM and LTW, but I'm starting to get to the point where I need to spend little gil on repairs.

There are a great many benefits to leveling multiple crafts.
