Sooooo... no content you say? After a quick character search of your character this is brought to my attetion:


You are nowhere NEAR done with this game. You leveled 1 Job class to 50. Didn't you hear? Each class has it's own back story, which is a storyline all on its own! Perhaps if the above picture showed you at all 50's then yes, i'd say you are done, go take a break, go read a book, and wait until 2.1 and 2.2 but you are far from done! Sure you have a WHM all decked out. That's one character. That's one job storyline you have completed. No content...jeez kids these days.

In a manner of speaking, it is content. It's just something some people don't consider content. Content has a variety of enjoyment.

1) Raids
2) Leveling
3) FATEs
4) Crafting
5) Dungeons
6) Hunting Logs
7) GC Seal Farming
8) Myth/Philo Farming
9) Primals ( Normal/Hard and soon Extreme)
10) Coil
11) Crystal Tower
12) Beastman Dalies
13) Main Storyline
14) Upping Your GC Rank

etc etc. They are all content. To me personally, if something is occupying time in this game for you, then it's content. Without Content, you would have nothing to do ( which means you couldn't waste time on this game doing anything except chatting).

You don't have to level every job to 50 to be done. Believe it or not some people don't like playing other jobs. I for one only like tank classes. As with most games I don't pay attention to story that's what movies/tv/books are for.

Funny you should say that about the story as, honestly, that's the hallmark of a Final Fantasy game, the story. It's why we play them, why we buy each and every one, and why we complain when we're done (oh god, seriously, who thought up the sequels?). I didn't get interested in XIV because it was new, I was interested in the story. And I loved it! I loved the story of 1.0, I love the story of 2.0. Rushing through the content only serves to skip the story and miss the whole point of the game.

This games story is the worst out of all the FF's I've played.
I'm not saying it's horrible but it's not that good at all in comparisons. It gets good when you're 40+.
[The whole Scion business, no spoilers.] It's sad that the ball finally gets rolling around that time.
And I admit, I had a lot of fun in my 40's.

Well I teared up at some parts of the story, I loved the story so much to me personally it's one of the best. ( Personally 7's story was meh to me).

No matter how anyone slices this cake, Any MMO needs time to grow at launch. The people that play MMOs alot should know this. It will grow whether or not 1 person unsubs or that person stays. This is their baby a FF Mainline title, If SE goes down it will be with a FF title. They also have deep pockets, the game will have a lot of content by 1 year after launch.
