That's not entirely true. Playing other classes does open new quests that you can't otherwise play if you didn't play that class. Is it a LOT of content, no. But it's 10 quests and stories you don't experience if you don't do them.

The road may be the same but the air running over your entire body is different. Maybe you prefer going down the road on the bike instead. You never know until you try.

Not everyone. I have more than 5 hours a week to play and I still have a long way to go. I play at a slower pace.

"Oh my god! I only have played for 5 hours per day since release and I got nothing else to do anymore! I'm so bored! This game has no content!"
Playing for more than 400 hours and complaining that "there is no content" is quite funny to read.

"I don't want to level every class to 50. Doing FATEs over and over again is stupid."
Then, congratulations, you got a lvlmax character with the best available gear. You finished the main storyline as well as optionnal end game content. You beat the game. Now what? Well, now nothing. As I said, you beat the game. Come again when some more content is available, just like you would do with every other game.

"It's not my fault if I want to be productive and play efficiently! Doing sidequests/dungeons isn't worth it, you get less exp! I rushed the game to be level max and grab my best gear in the less possible amount of time, because I'm such a badass MMO vet'."
Are you complaining that you rushed the content and tried to be as "efficient" and "productive" as possible, meaning in fact that this kind of play is not fun, that you beat the game in the quickest play possible... and now you have nothing to do?
Isn't that the point of it? If you want to rush everything and "work" (quite literally) yourself to the top at sonic speed... isn't that what you are seeking, to beat the game? What were you expecting if it's not? Make up your mind.

As for me, no thanks, I'll continue to enjoy the available content "at snail pace" because I'm not stupid and I know that there is nothing that waits me in the wonderful land of "I-did-everything-and-now-there-is-nothing-else-to-do-for-me".
I don't want to be "productive" and "efficient", because that what my boss ask me to do everyday at work.

I want to play a game for fun.
I KNOW, RIGHT? IT'S SUPER SILLY AND IT MAKES NO SENSE, WHAT AM I DOING?

TL;DR version: The fun doesn't begin when you're done with everything you wanted to do. The fun comes while doing it.
Stop rushing, there's nothing after the end... and yes, there is an end.

(I could make a "having sex" comparison here, but you might get a little upset after I would have said that you were terrible in bed for trying to "rush it". Damn, it's so tempting tho'!)

Did SE notice the game has no content? No idea.

Did I realize the game has no content? Nope! Thanks for telling me though, I was so busy playing every spare moment and not having enough time to do everything I want to do in the game that I completely failed to notice the lack of content. I don't know what I would do without helpful posters like you! Have a cookie.

I honestly think the biggest issue in this game is the methods for experiencing each kind of content are either flawed, overshadowed by FATE's, or simply aren't fun. Some made comparisons to GW2 and to me, that game gives players many options to experience content with different class builds, strategies, and most importantly, more fun and varied ways to navigate end game. Speaking as a player with almost 1700 hours logged for GW2, and a 1.0 beta until now player of XIV/ARR, I think this game has a decent amount of content, just that much of it is imbalanced, too easy, or not fun to do. They need to refine the way players do things so that the activity of crafting, gathering, or doing dungeons feels fun and rewarding, and not like a chore. That's the magic that kept me playing GW2. 2.1 looks to be heading in that direction, but these changes need to happen sooner then later. If the journey and methods of getting to end game, and experiencing end game as well as crafting/gathering/storytelling were improved and were more fun, then I honestly feel we would see less threads like this one.

I don't understand this concept of not being condescending/assohole. If I'm not a horrible person who only evoques anger in others, then they won't notice me and love me for how awesome I am!

So from what I see, half of the responses are "but you don't have any other classes to 50" and the other half is "how is grinding FATES content?" Then I see "you have to wait for more content to be released."

There's 0 reason to level another class. The Mythology cap makes it completely pointless to level another class until around January, because unless you're getting gear from Coil (which you can only run once per week on 1 Job), it would have taken from launch to January if you capped every week just to get full Mythology gear on 1 Job.

Also, if you actually add up the story for each class, it would take you about 10minutes to read the entire storyline that you get each 5 levels from leveling a class.

There's 0 reason for (me specifically) to level crafting. All of the gear I have is better than what I can craft, and as far as other classes, who in their right mind would want to run CM/Prae/AK/WP a million more times to get the peacock ore to gear up a character that can't even run the end game because you can only run Coil once per week and you'll be doing that on your main class?
Also, you can sell your "services" as a crafter to make gil that doesnt buy ANYTHING but crafting gear that I don't need because the only reason you'd get it is to run Coil that I've already done.

Other then that, there are achievements, Obtain 10million Gil from Levequests. Do any of you realise how long it would take to get that achievement? There's a statistic I read that said about 3years. Whether or not that be true, you can go to a high level levequest and estimate it for yourself.

There's no extracurricular activities and while there are "things" to do, if you compare this to ANY OTHER MMO as release, it has literally the least amount of content. The only reason this game is currently staying afloat is because it has Final Fantasy in the name and if 2.1 treasure hunting or PVP doesn't bring something amazing to the table, this game will crash and burn just like 1.0 did.
