How long for an SE FF14 ARR official guide?

Final Fantasy XI never got an SE released official guide in what, 11 years? There were a couple third party ones, but they were outdated almost as soon as they were released, and bradygames never bothered updating them with further edditions. So, My guess would be that SE is going to follow the same route with XIV and not release anything official. Wiki is your friend.

Paying attention is fun. I said THIRD PARTY. Bradygames is not SE. Those guides were not official SE releases, nor were they endorsed by SE in any way. Bradygames likes to use an older than dirt sales tactic by putting the word "official" on everything they release. Just because it says official, doesn't mean it is. You spent all that time finding links to the brady guides, and not the 12 seconds it took to read and understand my tiny little post? Really? Whatever floats your boat, dude.

There is no all encompassing guide for an MMO, it would be like 3000 pages.

If you want info on items, there is the eorzea database, on the official website, which is a databse of items, NPCs, and quests. If you want information about specific dungeons or monsters, there are many database and wiki sites out there: ffxivdb.com, gamerescape.com, I'm sure there's a wiki on Wikia, etc.

There is never going to be a paper guide if that's what you're asking for. That is so 1990s. These days all guides and info is on the internet.

What you're asking ofr is never going to exist: Pretty much all print strategy guides are published by a third party.
