Up and Coming Scholar - Pet Questions

So I am in the process of leveling my Scholar, but had a few questions about the pets and healing...

    1. What is the best stance for the pet? Should I place it close to the tank and put it on Obey in dungeons?

    2. Best way to heal - Macro or click? Was wondering how well the pet would heal if I just macroed it's heal spell on all my heal spells, so any time I healed the pet would heal (if it wasn't already)? Is there a better way to do this? Also, if I macroed the heal, would the pet heal my target or the one in range with the lowest HP?

Thanks in advance for the answers!

You can micro the buffs that selene does pretty well and as far as micro-ing the heals, you can but there is a delay in the time in which she obeys. A good portion of the time your best bet is to just put her in a good spot and let her do her thing.

I do not believe you can macro Eos's heals currently. They are fixing that in 2.1 but it is best to position her near the tank and just let her heal on her own. She will support heal with the single target any time someone drops below 70%

Welcome to being a SCH! It's great overall, even though pet AI needs some work. The best answers I can give is probably this:

    1) Place the fairy near the tank and let her heal on her own. Avoid placing her near the front or the back, as cleaves and tail swipe mechanics can sometimes kill your pet very quickly even in pre-endgame encounters.

    2) I find mouseover macros (assuming you're mouse+keyboard) to be more efficient than clicking individual party members and then hitting your keybinds. Healing is more fluid and noticeably faster this way in my opinion. As others mentioned, the fairy's "Embrace" heal (and the rest of their abilities, actually) cannot currently be put in macros. This combined with some other pet AI issues are definitely in need of fixing. As it stands though, unless you're doing Coil there really is no big need to be manually casting "Embrace" anyways. For now you can just leave the fairy to its own devices, though Selene will never use the skill speed buff on her own so you need to manually rotate that one with the spell speed one that she uses constantly on-cooldown.

    Have fun!

If you're using Selene you need to manually cast the skill speed buff after the spell speed buff wears off (they don't stack). Other than that, Selene autocasts the spell speed buff. I also micro the Selene heals. Mapped Embrace to Alt+e and I usually cast it on someone who needs to be topped off before I cast Physick/Adlo.
