Step 1: Stack Skill Speed
Step 2: Tell WHM to get lost because Selene is better than they are
Step 3: Win
Vengeance does not work that way. It simply delivers a 50-potency attack to anyone who attacks you. It does not reflect damage, so the damage taken buff would not reduce the amount of damage returned.Vengeance - ALSO reduced damage taken by 30%
WAT!? Vengeance by it mean, its suppose to reflect damage or something counter attack back at foes. NOW its reduced 30% damage taken and what the point to reflect damage? Less damage taken, less reflecting damage.
Its sound contradictory
sorry, misunderstood. Didn't read the post you were replying to carefully enough. Thought they were arguing that there wasn't much difference between the current versions of Shield Oath/Defiance. They weren't, I was mistaken.
Yeah, it depends on an encounter by encounter basis, however in an ideal situation, you want to use it as often as possible as not to waste the extra stacks of Wrath. It doesn't exactly work like that, you'd realistically want to have an IB up every 35~ seconds for death sentence in turn 5. It's 20-25 seconds for a full stack of wrath, you're most likely going to wait until she's about to cast death sentence unless you're wanting to use vengeance/infuriate.
Though at every 35s you wouldn't waste too many as it takes 20s to get 5 stacks and if you make use of Infuriate every other DS then you'll only miss on out a few extra stacks.
Everything I've seen is 10 skill speed to .01 reduction. I can't say definitively, but based on HiirNoivr's earlier posts and how it looks like the mechanics work, the 30% will apply to the base value (2.5). This will put you at 1.75 GCD. Start stacking skill speed and you're going to likely end up with permanent (or close enough) damage reduction with Storm's Path and IB. You need two scholars I believe.
It's why this change is so huge. If you are going to max min, this change to Warriors has a significant impact to class composition of a raid.
you.... should go find a scholar, and tell him to pop fey light while you're in the party...
suffice to say, the post you're referencing got the numbers a tad wrong.

this is kinda funny, u should probably check your numbers. A fully stacked BiS Monk with 3 stacks of grease lightning can push 2 gcd and that is about it. not to mention CDR is softcapedEverything I've seen is 10 skill speed to .01 reduction. You can cut about 6% off your GCD if you stack it on every piece you have.
The 30% likely applies multiplicatively. To get 100% uptime, you'd need to fit 9 GCDs in 6 seconds, which is a GCD time of 0.667 seconds. Assuming 100% uptime on Fey Light, that's 0.952 per GCD base, which is... let's see... something to the tune of 1889 skill speed. So yeah, that ain't gonna happen.Everything I've seen is 10 skill speed to .01 reduction.
