Likewise, the new emote cannot be used on Inn beds because lying down on that bed logs a player out of the game.

I have to chime in as well and say that is one of the most ridiculous reasons I have ever heard of for not implementing something. Players can literally take inappropriate screenshots by just being able to move their character around. I don't RP in this game, but it must be awkward for people to know there is this great feature but in order to utilize it they'd have to just RP around their FC members, which many people aren't comfortable with. In order to eliminate inappropriate screenshots entirely you would have to take down the servers again. Forever.



But seriously, this is a really, really bad reason for it.

I'm going to go ahead and voice my concern with this as well. I really don't care about FC housing, it's one of the least interesting things on the horizon for me. Personal housing is exciting, but I could absolutely not care less about a virtual domicile with my FC, and so only allowing the use of an emote I was really looking forward to in a place I don't want to be is more upsetting than I anticipated, especially given the reasoning. You can't control what people will do, and people will always try to find a way to make 'inappropriate' screenshots and videos. Even more so, if I can /sit on the bed in the inn, why in the world can I not /doze on it? That makes absolutely no sense. I can understand not applying it to beds in the world even if I'm not happy with it, but please reconsider the Inn bed at the very least.

Edit: And to add that I agree with the OP. I really want to love this game, I want to play it for years to come, but this is one more item on an ever-growing list of little things that are really stopping me from enjoying the game as much as I feel I should. I'm not quitting because of any of them, but it's frustrating nonetheless.

Cant believe you people are surprised or care about that answer much. They changed mithra things in xi due to certain inappropriate behavior. I thought it was pretty obvious what kind of company square is by now. This answer doesnt surprise me in the least and I respect the decision made,
