As long as it's being used for fun among friends and acquaintances, and not being used to harass others (which can just be reported anyway) why is it such a big deal?

Frankly, it feels almost invasive how the devs have taken "measures" to ensure we can't express ourselves in a way we want to.

Of course the reason is bogus anyway, just like half of the bile SE spews for excuses. So they likely just don't care enough to allow free range use of such emotes. Easier to deny 'em, hm hm. ♪

I'm surprised how you still even allow us to log into your game. There are plenty of 'inappropriate' screenshots/vids out there already, since you've added like 5 versions of bikinis, not to mention character starter gear mini skirt.

I hope you understand that this will not, in any way, prevent the taking of inappropriate screenshots. People already take inappropriate screenshots with the emotes we have. Yet you guys are still worried about that?

This is a game with references to rape, sexual exploitation, threesomes (Ruby-Eyes, Sapphire-Eyes, and Longhaft, anyone?), legal prostitution (both a FATE in Costa del Sol and NPCs in Thanalan), replete with suggestive conversation and commentary, and you're worried about inappropriate screenshots? o_O

Deny something the community wants because it could be used to take a "not especially appropriate" screenshot. I can't even fathom the number of ways you could get a "not especially appropriate" screenshot with what already exists. You're taking a single knife out of the kitchen because /that/ one could be used to stab somebody, nevermind the others.
