A Weird PC Controller Issue - Techy Help

Okay so I use the official Xbox 360 wireless adapter in my PC.. which of course links to an official wireless Xbox 360 pad

Everything is fine.. except when I use my limit break.. now its not been much of a problem so far cos i was healer and then tank.. but now i am DPS i need to use it alot..

When I LB my controller turns off after it hits.. so not only do i have animation lock i have to wait for the controller to turn back on again.. has anyone experienced this before?

A couple of extra points that might help diagnose:

- This also happens when anything BIG happens in Dark Souls PC.. or Skyrim.. anything EXPLODEY happens and my controller turns off (although it seems not to happen when charging in those games)

- The Driver that came with the adapter doesnt work with windows 8 and you have to manually find the driver yourself to make the pad work

- and finally i dont have an official battery pack i use a game shop own brand USB rechargeable pack

any suggestions?

A very, very long shot by any chance the really "explodey" stuff is lagging your PC? If so, the PC may not send the data to the controller (or other way around) to keep it connected.

Turn off vibration and see if that changes it. Seems like it might narrow down your issue.

didn't consider that.. although it seems fine with all other vibration..

will have to test tomorrow
