Because leaving the casuals behind would be mean!
I'm also not a big fan of the whole "Everyone should run around in the best gear there is" mentality myself. The irony in it is that the Coil lockout is a bigger gap between "casuals" and "hardcores" than gear ever will be, for the simple reason that you can only run with 1 group anyway. If you could do it more than once people might actually bother running with people outside their static group, rather than having a set group and only going with new people if one of your party members can't make it for some reason (and even then they generally got a "pool" of subs, rather than taking someone they never ran with before).
In the end it's not because of gear that people will be "locked" out of content, but simply because there is no place in the static groups so they can't gain any experience. Allow people to run Coil more than once and there will be people that take their time to help out new players in Coil. Claiming it can be abusable is not a reason not to do it. Everything can be abused, is that a reason not to implement it? No. It's up to the devs to implement it in a way that minimizes abuse, while making sure as many of the benefits are kept as possible.
I LOVE those changes![]()
Ein rotäugiger Kunde betritt dein Geschäft.
Halb Engel, halb Todesgott.
I like how he actually acknowledged community feedback, gave reasoning, numbers and how the new content and changes will effect our concerns.
Like the patch or not, they are starting to communicate better with us.

For my opinion it really does matter on how the myth is arranged in the content. If it's still going to be 100 myth per run now you just need to run 5 more times per week I can seea hst of problems including this hypothetical scenario. ready?
So guy has been running his runs in a free company to try to keep up with the other guys, he's making cap on Sunday to "keep up with eh Jones". Now this guy still makes his 300 or 340 whatever by Sunday but he's now falling further behind. It's not a stretch of the imagination to think this guy might become frustrated over the course of a few weeks and finally give up and quit.
If the myth numbers for all the current and new content are adjusted to match this new weekly scale THEN it will simply mean faster progression thru endgame for everyone.

Myth gear isn't a pre-requisite and that itself is the issue here, if they reduce the cost for DLs, I would be fine with it as it allows more players to access CT and subsequently BC.

It saddens me that he thinks casuals would stay/leave because of gear.
Doing WP everyday and standing in Revenant's Toll with weapon unsheated isn't our objective in this game.

Casuals can do -> primals -> CT -> coil. While "hardcores" do primals - > coil - > wait 3 months.
So why not make CT harder and have both parties go the same path in progression? i really dont get it why they release the hard instance at first and then put in a way to get gear for coil, when coil is already possible and done with darklight and AF2.

We cap myth on monday night now in about 1.5 hours... Just doing 2/4 turns of BCB and Garuda Farm. We have killed garuda in 3:28 (3 minutes 28 seconds) which is 180 myth an hour..
I'm pretty excited for the upcoming changes, I just hope they raise the cap to something reasonable, not something low like 350... trolllolol.. Imo 495 to 900 would be reasonable.

He mentions that 2.1 was delayed 1 month b/c of server congestion and initial release was November. Does that mean now they r back on track will we be getting 2.2 in February instead if March. Or will the one month delay continue as is and have a chance to further that delay with problems with 2.1. Thoughts?
