Can initiate FF14, but can not load game pass "Start"

Hey guys, I'm at the end of my wits trying to figure out why I can't run FF14. I just finished building my new PC and I renewed my subscription to FF14, but I can't get the game to load pass "Start."

I re-installed the game twice. Even tried booting the game from a different HD. I tried running it on compatibility and no luck. The only thing I can think of is because my new system uses Window 8.1 N, and I'm running as a NA client?

I'm able to login during the launcher, start the game, but once I click "start" it enters a black loading screen with the icon running on the bottom right corner. The animation is running but no progress at all. I am able to press Alt+F4 and a FF14 window will pop up to ask if I want to Quit or Cancel. So the game isn't crashing, it's just not loading?

Please, any tips or suggestions? I do not believe it's a hardware problem because I have played Batman Arkam Asylum and many other steam games with no troubles.

8.1 is the issue, for some people at least.

I'm reading some people are able to play on 8.1 with no problem. Am I downloading the wrong client? I bought the digital download version for the early access at launch through GMG, I re-downloaded the game with the client launcher, am I possibly missing something?

SOLUTION: It's a cut scene error in Document File configuration. Thank you /r/ffxiv
