Ifrit HM Weapon Drops

I am a WHM and have done Ifrit well over a hundred times and the WHM's cane has not once dropped. I find this a problem seeing as people can do it once or twice and get the weapon, usually it being the Cudgel, Codex, or Grimoire. It just sucks. maybe make it drop 2 weapons per run? or even make it to where the person that needed it the most had it drop?

I've ran Garuda about 30 times before my drop, Ifrit 2, and Stone Vidgil.. I literally lost count and hit lvl 48 before giving up.

Anyone that has worked or study computer coding knows that there is not such thing as a random generator. There is already a preset list of numbers set to give out a certain item after a win. For them to set up code to give priority over someone else would be difficult, especially if your party is a DF.

But if these items weren't a pain to get, there wouldn't be anything special about them. Its like a trophy you can smack around.

The RNG isn't perfect, there is no true "random", but it's close enough that there is no discernable difference.

Luck, however, can be terrible. I ran WP a good 50 times before I ever saw a DarkLight bow, then the dungeon bugged and no one got it. In frustration, I decided to just go run Ifrit with my GC weapon and got his bow on the third try.

I decided I wanted both pieces of the Coliseum set. 2 Darkholds runs later I had them.

I've run Garuda and AK enough times now to fully gear up a DRG 5 times over, but I don't think anyone else would have walked away with more than a pair of Mitts and some new reading material.

This is why we have the token system for DL, guaranteed payout. It's a shame you can't get a DL wep that way.
