They cited they were concerned with the economy when they announced the bar on Legacy transfers, but I would like some sort of statement concerning time frame (rather than the seemingly random guess of forum-goers saying six months). I feel the argument about economic stability is weak since, as far as I've heard, other servers already have strong economies with many level 50 crafters.

Comedic value of your dead horse reference aside, my searches on the topic have resulted in disjointed information and none really called for public feedback or made much of a splash. One decent solution is to allow Legacy characters to transfer now with a heavier tax on their gil (aka cap at 1 million).
